All night I couldn't stop thinking of that kiss. I couldn't stop thinking of his touch. It took over my mind. It invaded my thoughts, just taunting me. Every will power I had in me is giving up. My body wants more. I have to stop this urge I have. I have to put an end to it. I got to stop thinking about it. I can't. My mind is so gravitated toward it.
I walk down in this dark blue glittery dress. Why did I wear it? I couldn't tell you. I walk down the stairs Mrs. Gallagher looks at me, surprised in my choice of wardrobe. I smile at her walking down the stairs, my hair in a lovely-looking bun. Some of my curls hanging loosely against my face.
We gathered in this beautiful wood floored ballroom. A glamorous sparking chandelier above us. Lighting the whole ballroom up. A man smiles at us "good evening ladies I am Mr. Dupree, and welcome to ballroom dancing"
I can't dance for the life of me. I never got taught. Always scared. I don't see how ballroom dancing has anything to do with being a queen. Then again, going to balls and parties has a lot to do with rich people's behavior. Just look at Marie Annette. She loved throwing parties and eating pastries. Throwing the biggest parties they were in France.
Mr. Dupree gestures for me to go first. "now come here Ms. Lewis. Let's see if we need to work on anything. " Royce walks up. Oh, no please god. Royce smirks, bowing at me. I roll my eyes, curtsying back. Life is so cruel to me. Royce puts one hand on my waist. The other holding my hand.
This is just so awkward... Mr. Dupree starts the piano music. Royce leading me dancing. Gliding me across the ballroom. With such elegance. Mr. Dupree clapping the rhythm "and one, two, three, one, two, three one, two, three one. "
Royce twirls me out, grinning at me. He bows again. I curtsy. The music stops playing. Mr. Dupree smiles wide clapping. "fantastic! So perfect! A+ Ana" Royce smiles at me. I roll my eyes, walking away.
Amazed at myself at how I could dance like that. Maybe just Royce was a good teacher? I am still taken back at Royce, of all people. Royce Kennedy, the dumbass of all bad boys, taught me how to dance. That's baffling.
