A Kitsunes Love ll Tanjiro x Zenitsu

Our Last Goodbye

It was morning now, coming up from behind the mountains, showing its beauty, making the sky a beautiful color. With the morning breeze coming in. Birds chirping, singing that beautiful melody. It was spring, everything was blooming, it was an amazing sight to see. From the cherry blossoms falling to all of the pretty flowers blooming.

As much as Tanjirou wanted to stay with Zenitsu forever, he had to go fight off demons. But he is sure that he will be back for Zenitsu, just, one day, once he defeats Muzan, and turns Nezuko back into a human.

Tanjirou woke up to a cute little kitsune by him, and he hopes to see him everyday. Tanjirou realized that he was nude, and then remembered the events that happened last night. He blush at the thought of him and Zenitsu actually doing it. But he brushed it off and started to get ready.

Tanjirou went and made breakfast for him and Zenitsu, making some rice balls, and some tempura. It wasn't a lot, but Tanjirou didn't have as much time as he wanted. From the smell of the delicious food, Zenitsu woke up. Tanjirou could smell those peaches sent from a mile aways, so he knew Zenitsu was coming.

Tanjirou turned around to see a blonde short haired kitsune with orange at the end. Two fluffy ears sitting at the top of his messy bed head (haired?) With a fluffy tail behind the boy. Tanjirou looked up and their eyes met, honey golden eyes stared back into ruby red crimson ones.

"Ah- Good morning Zenitsu! I'm making breakfast for us, cause you always make food for me!"

Tanjirou said flashing his million dollar smile that can brighten up anyone's day. How did Zenitsu find a guy like him? And how could Tanjirou like a cry baby like Zenitsu? Who really knows, or who cares? As long as they love each other, right?

"Mhm, good morning, Tanjirou. Thanks, I didn't really feel like cooking right now."

"Mhm! I don't mind! I love cooking! I haven't cooked in awhile, so I don't know if it will be as good as you cooking Zenitsu!"

"Ehehe, your cooking is probably better than mines."

"Nooses! Your cooking is amazing! It's wonderful, tasty, mouth watering!"

"Ahh, Tanjirou, keep it down please, it's still early in the morning and my ears are sensitive remember?"

"Oh, sorry Zenitsu."

"Mhm it's alright, here let me help you."

"Ahh, thank you Zenitsu!"

Zenitsu POV

That melody, it's so sweet. It's not like any other melody I have ever heard before. It's nice, I want to hear it forever, but nothing lasts forever, that's why I have to treasure the time I have while it lasts. Nothing lasts forever, but memories do. So I will always have the memories of these happy moments I have with him. I will treasure them, unto the day I die.

How did I ever meet a guy like him? Let alone fall in love with him. Damn you Tanjirou, you and your god damn handsome smile. But, nevertheless, I love my dumb idiot. I sometimes like to go back and look at my past, how did my life go from boring and scary to amazing and full of light and love? I don't know honestly, but I love it. I love him.

Metsu,.. I- I think I found the one...

It wasn't too long for Zenitsu to be lost in his thoughts that food was already done without him lifting a finger. Zenith was surprised at how fast Tanjirou did it. Zenitsu groaned in pain from not being able to help, leaving Tanjirou with a small smile in repsonsed.

"Lets eat! Itadakimasu!"

"Woow, see Tanjirou! I told you you're better at cooking than me! This is amazing!"

Zenitsu said while stuffing food in his mouth (Like Inosuke), with his tail swaying from side to side, up and down.

"(chuckle) Thanks Zenitsu, I'm glad that you like it."

After the finish eating, Tanjirou went to go pack up, bringing some left overs he had with him. While getting changed, Tanjirou found an old haori with white triangles all over it, the color yellow fading into orange at the end.

It smelled like Zenitsu, so Tanjirou obviously grabbed it and brought it up to his nose to get a whiff of that sweet peach scent one last time. And the smell made Tanjirou more calm, it always did, the smell of peaches, he loved it, and he always will. It reminds him of somebody.

But he had to go, he put down the yellow haori, and finished changing. Getting ready, he put on his box, Nezuko didn't make any sound but some breathing was heard, so Tanjirou assumed that she was still asleep.

He went outside to see Zenitsu standing underneath a cherry tree with cherry blossoms falling. It was a beautiful sight to see, Zenitsu standing there perfectly, while holding something. Tanjirou was intrigued by what he had in his hands.

But then he notices something else Zenitsu had on. It was the yellow haori he saw eariler. Zenitus saw Tanjirou and told him to come over. Zenitsu handed over the bag to Tanjirou. It was medicine, just in case Tanjirou gets hurt while fighting. Little did Tanjirou know, there was a flower ring in there.

"I guess this is where we part huh?"

"Yeah, I had fun with you Zenitsu! Thank you for everything, you really are an amazing person."

"Hah, you shouldn't say such a thing."

"But it's true! Even if you think you're not important, there are people out there who think that you are wonderful for the person that you are! From when I first met you, I knew that you were a strong, amazing person!"

"Mhm, thank you Tanjiro. You really are too kind."

They then met each other's eyes again, honey eyes staring back into those crimson king ones. Zenjitsu always thought Tanjirou's eyes were pretty, and so did Tanjirou, he loved staring into those pools of honey eyes.

"Well, you should get going, you wouldn't want the people to wait for you."

"Ahh, You're right, thank you Zenitsu, for everything."

"Mhm, not a problem, thank you too."

"See you around Zenitsu, I hope that we meet again!"

Tanjirou said waving while walking off into the distance.

"Me too, Sayonara."

Zenitsu waited into Tanjirou could not hear him any more to say,

"I love you."

Why did it have to come to this? They could have lived happily together. But, Zenitsu is sure that they'll meet again. Somehow, some day, they will meet, and they'll be together. Maybe in another lifetime, when they are reincarnated.

Anyways, this story might end in like 2 chapters, I'm not sure, maybe 3. I am thinking of a new story to work on.
