"Have you blown all your candles out." Dan asked for the 100th time as he placed his bag in the hall.

Today was the day we go home to our families for Christmas and whilst I was really excited, I felt strangely upset about leaving the apartment for a week.

"Yeah I just checked." I answered, placing my laptop in my case.

Dan had finished packing 5 minutes ago, meaning he was laying back on my bed, watching me as I rushed packed, having completely left it until the last minute.

"Are you completely sure? I don't want to come back to no apartment next week. It will be really inconvenient." Dan asked again, giving me his signature one sided smile that made the phangirls go crazy. When we first met I was admittedly slightly phased by it too but I was used to it by now. Anyway, I felt slightly miffed from his sarcastic tone.

I nodded, "Daniel, I am completely sure I blew out all my candles."

I grinned.; that will get him back for his constant teasing all afternoon.

"You know I hate it when you call me Daniel. What time is your train?"

He looked really unimpressed. Serves him right.

I looked up from where I was hugging plant-y goodbye and tried to remember what time I'd booked my ticket for, "3:45... I think."

"Mines 3:50. Do you want to leave now and say goodbye to London, maybe get a Starbucks."

I was sold with the word Starbucks.

"YES!" I said excitedly pulling on my coat, "Give me a few more minutes though. I haven't packed all my last minute bits."

"I'll be in the kitchen." Dan sighed, giving me an affectionate look.

Twenty minutes later and I'd forced my bag closed and was ready to go.

"You know , Phil, I'm going to miss our daily anime with breakfast setup." Dan said as I walked into the kitchen to tell him I was ready to leave.

"Final fringe check in our apartment for 2014?" I asked.

Dan stood from where he was sitting on the kitchen side, "After you, captain space coat." He grinned.

"One toffee and almond hot chocolate and a ginger bread latte please." I ordered from the starbucks lady.

We were back at the same Starbucks that we did our 'day in the life of Dan and Phil' in, yes the one with condensation problems, and Dan had become almost obessed over the hot chocolate over the past week.

"What are you planning to do when you get home?" I asked as I set our drinks on the table.

He looked at the window for a few seconds, drawing a snowman on the steamed up panes, "Nothing much. Sleep, eat, Internet. I'm looking forward to spending some time with Adrian and his girlfriend..." Dan's voice trailed off as he picked up his hot chocolate and sighed in appreciation as he took the first sip.

"Probably the same. I can't wait for Christmas. Only 2 days to go!" I answered, laughing at his face.

Foodgasm was shown all over his features, as he took long and blissful sips of his hot chocolate. I don't think I'd ever known someone who could get so turned on by food before I met Dan. Except maybe myself.

"I'm going to be so upset when they stop making the Christmas drinks in the new year..." I murmured, watching Dan's snowman fade until it was just an outline on the glass.

"Hmm... I will be devastated." He replied.

We sat in Starbucks for another 10 minutes just talking and cherishing our last few Dan and Phil moments of 2014, before leaving with our half finished drinks.

10 minutes to spare and Dan and I ran into the station, pushing through all the Christmas shoppers to the ticket booth. There wasn't that much of a queue and we were in front of the platforms in no time, tickets and bags in hand.

"So... I'll see you next year." I mumbled. Neither of us were very good at saying goodbye and we normally didn't, but for some reason it just seemed appropriate. Or maybe the phan tag on tumblr was just getting to my head.

"Yeah, merry Christmas..."Dan answered, "Got any good video ideas for next year?"

"None whatsoever. I guess I'll just see where my brain takes me."

Dan smiled, giving a content sigh as he placed his bag on the floor and looked at his ticket, "Platform 8?"

"Platform 16."

"So this is it."

"I'll text you, I promise and we can Skype on Christmas day." I smiled.

"Just like old times." Dan answered.

"So I guess...don't forget to upload Dil tonight, and - oof!"

Dan was suddenly hugging me, his arms tight around my shoulders, "Thank you for being there for me this year, Phil. I still am, and will always be the biggest phillion." He murmured. I only barely heard him because he spoke so quietly.

I found myslf smiling as I dropped my bags and brought my arms around him to hug him back.

"I wouldn't be anywhere without you. I've been a danosaur from the start." I replied.

We stayed like that for a couple of minutes before Dan pulled back, a slight fangirl glint in his eye. When we first met the look of 'OH MY GOD I AM BEST FRIENDS WITH AMAZINGPHIL' had been constant, but over the last couple years, since we'd moved to London, it had become rare. I hope it never stops completely because it is probably one of the best things about our friendship and brings back old memories of when he was just a obsessive fan boy, trying to get noticed.

"Shit we are going to miss our trains." Dan said, pulling out of our hug.

"Bye and Merry Christmas." I grinned as Dan handed me my bag.

"Merry Christmas Phil." Dan smiled warmly.

And then I ran to my platform to catch my train.
