Waiting
"Stop smiling." Quer frowned.
I pursed my lips but it didn't hide the smile that's forming on my lips. The smile on my lips never left my face. It's been three days since I asked Aski to teach me.
"Okay." That's simple word that sent me to a roller coaster ride. His husky voice sent chills and excitement down my bones. My heart beats so fast as his piercing gaze drop on me. The way he thinned his lips made my mind go blank.
I smiled sweetly.
"Aish, lovesick fool." Quer rolled her eyes and grimaced.
"Let her be. She finally got a 'date'," Shar sarcastically pointed out.
"Pinalamon ko kayo tapos ganyan ang irerespond ni'yo? So ungrateful," I said with an annoyed look.
Kist laughed and said,"Ano gusto mong marinig? Congratulations on your impending nuptial? Or I can foresee that your kid will only take after Aski? Or Happy 50th Anniversary? Gosh, 'tong illusyonadang to."
Quer and Shar snorted a laugh while I frowned.
'Tong mga 'to, pinagkakaisahan nila ako. If Pat was here, whose side is she? Pat's at Ifugao, her mom's hometown. She'll be back tomorrow.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes.
Nahagilap ng mata ko si Ryu. Karma's a bitch they say.
"Ryu!" I yelled while waving my hand. Natahimik naman si Quer habang napahagikgik naman si Kist. Shar just grinned.
He waved back and approached us.
"Burger? Libre ko," I offered.
He grinned and said,"Naks naman, ano ganap?"
"Wala lang," I replied.
Ryu went to the counter and ordered a cheese burger and a bubble tea. I gave him the cash and he happily took it. Happy kid.
"Asukarera, tabi." Ryu gently tapped Quer's shoulder motioning her to move. The chair Quer and Shar's sitting at is a long chair.
Quer grunted and grimaced.
"Do'n ka," Quer said while pointing at the free space beside Kist.
"Dito nga gusto ko. Dali, arte nito."
When Quer did not move, Ryu forcefully sat leaving Quer no choice but to scoop over.
"You're so rude." Quer exclaimed.
