(Izuku's pov)
With great power comes great responsibilities that's what my dad said when I was a little, but I didn't know what he meant though. I live in a world where 80% of the human population has quirks. A quirk is a superhuman superpower that changed society. The government had to make laws for people not to use their quirks in public. And then heroes came to stop the ones who are could villains. To become a hero you had to apply to a hero School for three years. And for me, I want to be a hero just like my idol all might be the number one hero. And it was my dream to become a hero just like all might.
Doctor: Sorry kid it's not going to happen.
I drop my All Might action figure to the ground.
Inko: W-w-what do you mean.
Doctor: Izuku has two joints in his pinky toe like ruffly 20% of the population. So it looks like your son won't be developing a quirk.
After when we got home I was in my room watching the All-might video.
All might in the video: Hahaha do not fear citizens for I am here.
My mom opened my bedroom door to see me watching it.
I turn around looking at my mom with tears in my eyes pointing at the screen.
Izuku: Y-you s-see m-mom, he always has a smile on his face no matter what the situation is. Do you think I become a hero?
Izuku's mom looked at him with tears in her eyes and hugged him.
Inko: I'm sorry-I'm sorry Izu-Kun, I wish things would be different.
Those were the words I wanted to hear.
(Timeskip 10 years later)
(Nobody's pov)
At school, the teacher was holding a bunch of papers.
Teacher: Since you're all in the third year of middle, it's time for you to think seriously about your future.
Then he throws the papers in the air.
Teacher: But why should I bother you all planning to join the hero course, right. *Happy Tone voice*
After he said that all the students start showing their quirks.
Teacher: You guys know the rules. No using quirks in school.
???: Teach. Don't lump me with all these rejects.
Random boy 1: WHAT YOU SAY!!!!
Random boy 2: YOU THINK YOUR BETTER THAN US!!
Teacher: Oh yeah Bakugou aren't you applying to UA.
Random boy 1: Woah UA.
Random girl 1: I heard theirs a 0.2% chance of going to UA.
Bakugou: That's right, I'll surpass all might himself and become the richest and most famous hero.
Teacher: Oh and that reminds me, your applying to UA to right Izuku.
The room goes quiet for a second then laughter is heard
Random boy 1: HAHAHA MIDORIYA REALLY!?!?!
Random girl 2: YOU CAN'T APPLY TO THE HERO COURSE WITHOUT A QUIRK!!!
Then Bakugou who I call Kacchan blows up my desk and yells at me with anger in his eyes.
(A/N: I'll just call him Kacchan, and Izuku is not afraid of Kacchan)
Kacchan: DEEEKKKUUUU!?!?!?!
That's an insult a Kacchan gave me
Izuku: *sigh* What?
Kacchan: Don't try and steal the spot for, you quirkless loser.
Izuku: Whatever.
(Timeskip after school)
After school, Izuku was packing his things and then Kacchan grabbed his notebook.
Kacchan: So deku you think you're better than me.
Izuku: No wh-
He's then cut off with the punch in the gut.
Izuku: *cough*
Kacchan: That's what happens when you think you're better than me. (He laughs and leaves with his friends)
After that incident Izuku goes home with a sad look on their face and his mom notices, she comforts him.
Inko: Let me Kacchan again.
He nods.
Izuku: Just because I'm quirkless.
Inko: I know, remember with great power comes great responsibilities.
That was what is Izuku's Dad said to him but he still didn't know what he meant.
Izuku: Thanks mom, oh yeah tomorrow we're going on a field trip to the Osborn lab. *He said excitedly*
Inko: That's a great sweetheart. Well, Dinners is ready.
After Izuku finishes dinner and goes to bed for the field trip tomorrow.
