*1970-something, Wisconsin*

*we're all alright theme plays*

"HELLOOOOOO WISCONSIN!!!"

*prom*

a bunch of guys kept trying to hit on jackie.

"hey, back off!" hyde would yell.

"wanna get out of here?" hyde asked.

jackie nodded.

they walked to his car, and just sat inside.

it was quiet for a while.

hyde said, "jackie. about that kiss, I-"

"no, i get it. you don't like me. you just feel bad for me." jackie said.

"no, actually. it caught me by surprise, but i really liked it. i wanted to know if you wanted to maybe, go out with me?" hyde asked.

"really? no, you're kidding! i thought you'd never ask, yes!!" jackie said, pulling him into a hug.

"jackie?"

"yeah?"

"can we keep it a secret? kelso will kill me if he knew." hyde said.

"yeah, ok. but not for long. you have to tell him eventually."

"yeah, i guess so."

*the basement, the next day*

"hey hyde! why did you take jackie to prom? what the hell! i thought we were friends." kelso said.

"hey, man, that's your fault. you cheated on her. i was being nice. it's not like i did anything." hyde said.

"yeah, but we all saw you kiss her!" kelso said.

"what? i didn't know! nobody tells me anything." fez said.

"it was just a kiss, kelso. it didn't mean anything." hyde said.

"oh." jackie said, running out the door.

"crap, man!" hyde said, running after her.

"well, you're following her. it must mean something." kelso said.

"jackie! jackie, wait!" hyde said.

"what?" jackie said, smiling.

"you're not upset?" hyde asked.

"no! i was just acting. if we're gonna fool them, we have to play the part, steven." jackie said.

he giggled and kissed her quickly.

"go back to them. tell them how upset i am." jackie said.

they both laughed.
