Saturday//6.30 am//Manhattan//New York//Half Blood High

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐲 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧 decided if there was anything he could do without, it would be waking up at the treacherous hour of 6.30 to go to school, five days a week. What made it all the more worse was that this morning was a Saturday. A Saturday being the only day he got to spend with his mother, along with his new step dad and younger sister, Estelle. His step dad, Paul, was a teacher at, thankfully, a different local school, and only earning slightly above minium wage, whilst his mother worked at a small bakery, earning a bare minimum for the 6 days she slaughtered weekly.

Percy had barely shoved a cookie in his mouth and had his t-shirt on backwards, as he stumbled around the tiny apartment, embracing the inhabitants. He ran out the door, laces of his ratty converse untied, skateboard in hand, racing down the stairs to meet his friend Grover, who had offered to accompany him on the journey to his dreaded Saturday Detention.

𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 reluctantly let a tear run down her face, as her mother slammed a car door in her face, and drove off, leaving Annabeth at school 30 minutes earlier than necessary. It was never her intention to disappoint her parents, yet recently that was all she could mange to do. She was Annabeth Chase, heir to an incredibly prestigious architecture company, and had somehow completely blown the YALE interview she went to a few days ago.

She brushed her hands down her skirt and blouse, wiped her face, and pulled down the sleeves of her cardigan, a nervous habit she had picked up from her mother. Walking up the steps of the school, she figured that her arriving early would only prove to be an annoyance, as she wanted to spend as little time in the library as possible, speaking with as few delinquents as possible. It was no surprise she was nervous though, girls who were supposed to be as perfect as Annabeth Chase never got detention.

𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 wasn't the type of kid you would expect to get a detention, in fact most people wouldn't be surprised if he was supervising the Saturday rendezvous. He wasn't angered about the detention, though he did have better things to do, he knew it was worth it. It's not like his overbearing father could ever find out, with his absence lasting almost year long.

Jason threw on his letterman jacket, with the letters HB emblazoned on the front, his name displayed on the back and proceeded to lock up the unnecessarily large house for two people. His elder sister had ever so kindly informed him that she would probably skip the detention they both had, unless she wanted a change of scenery, and instead decided to go smoke in the parking lot of an abandoned mall with kids she didn't know.

Sighing, he revved up the engine of his Mercedes convertible, a sad excuse of a gift from his father to gain his affections.

𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 was, unlike most of the other students who would be attending, no stranger to Saturday Detentions. It was something that happened at least once a month, to no one's surprise, though she never did mind. It gave her an excuse to piss off Jane, her dad's psychotic secretary, and she got to escape the prison that was supposedly home. A bonus, was that she got kicks out of riling up newbies, normally joining forces with her friend Leo, Thalia Grace or that strange goth kid.
