I woke up with a start remembering what I went to sleep thinking about. I looked around and my things were unpacked, I don't remember doing that.. I stood up, stretched, and walked downstairs to the sweet smell of teriyaki chicken. My favorite. I walked into the kitchen as my mom looked up "good morning sleepy head, all that work must have tired you out huh?" I pondered that for a moment, well I was tired, but I didn't do any work? "What work mom?" "All the unpacking you did silly, neither your brother nor I are done." "Wait you mean..I thought you unpacked my stuff." She chuckled a bit and gave me a look like I know your messing with me. "You did it, I heard u unpacking upstairs" "but the only thing I unpacked was my blanket..." she cut me off and placed her hand on my shoulder." You did sweetie, all this stress is taking a toll on you. Go in the living room and chill with your brother." "Deal but under one condition." She wrinkled her brow, "what?" "Never say chill again, thanx." She laughed and shoved me out of the kitchen. "Go" she pointed. I walked into the the living room and smiled a bit seeing that "my" chair was situated the same way it was in the old house. I plopped down in it and looked over at Alex "hey you ok?" He sighed "yeah I guess.." "what's wrong? Don't you like the New house?" His eyes darted towards the kitchen and when he realized mom wasn't paying attention he leaned over to me and whispered "I don't feel right about this house, I know you weren't the one who unpacked.." I looked at him shocked. "How did you know?" "Because, you sing when you unpack and there was no singing." "Yeah, your right, but we'll be ok. School starts tomorrow and we won't have to be in the house that much." I gave him a reassuring smile and he gave me one back. "Your right" he Said. "Don't.." "kids! Dinner!" I nudged Alex and got up quickly "beat you there!" I slid into my chair and he sat down next to me. There wasn't much talking tonight because we were all starved. I cleared the table and helped with dishes. "I'm gonna go shower mom, school Tomorrow." "Ok sweetheart just don't use all the hot water." "Ok! Will do mom!" As I said while running up the stairs. I opened the top drawer of my dresser where my pjs usually were and there they were, strange figuring I didn't unpack them, but hey, less work for me. I stepped into the bathroom and locked the door behind me, I spun around singing and turned the water on so it could heat up. I went down under the sink and grabbed the box of shampoos and conditioners. I unpacked them while I waited for the water to get warm. When I spun around, written in the steam on the mirror was "get out while you can." It freaked me out so I quickly wiped it away and shook my head. A nice warm shower and a good night's rest will fix this. I'm just stressed, that's all. After that escapade I took a quick shower, got dressed, said my goodnights, and crawled in bed. Surprisingly I drifted off quickly. School tomorrow...yay.
