Chapter 2

It hit about four in the afternoon, and my dad called me. He was wondering where I was, but instead of telling him I was with this strange boy I had never noticed at school lost on his motorbike, I told him I was staying at school for catch up lessons.

He wasn’t going to exactly check with being halfway across the world. He was on another business trip, so I had the house to myself for two weeks, with the neighbours checking in every few days. Making sure I kept the place clean, which I did with my clean freak attitude. It just had to be clean. End off.

I knew how to cook, and I got like four hundred pound for food and supplies, and anything else I needed. I got so much because my dad felt guilty for leaving me on my own all the time. But after my mum left, he had to take care of everything.

I’ve always despised her for that.

Jett was now getting directions back to the school, while I sat on the sidewalk. He finished talking to the guy, and came over.

“C’mon, let’s go” He smiled.

“Sure you won’t get us lost this time” I grumbled. He had got us very lost trying to get un-lost. It sucked, but the motorbike was so damn cool.

“Shut up” He retorted sitting on the bike.

“No you shut up. You’re the one who got us lost.” I said sitting behind him.

“You’re so mature.” He said starting the bike. I gripped onto him.

“I’m smart too. If you just followed my directions, I would’ve been home now.” I grumbled as he drove back to school.

“Go this way.” I said pointing to the junction. He actually listened. I patted his abs.

“Well done, you know how to listen” I said in a sarcastic voice, with a fake happy smile on my face.

“Shut up.” After a minute or two of silence we got to my house. I got off, and so did he. He walked me to my door. As I fondled with my bag, looking for my keys, he snorted.

I looked up to see his glum face. “What?”

“Aren’t you going to invite me in?” Yeah, causes I always invite strange boys from school who take me on a ride for their motorbikes.

“Um no.” I said shaking my head like it was obvious.

“Why not?” He said offended. Cause you’re an idiot.

“Cause you just got us lost for half an hour. I don’t know you. And we’ll be alone” I mumbled the last part.

“What was that last part?” He smirked knowing well enough what I said. Yes. I found my keys.

“Nothing.” I said opening the door. “Um, thanks for the ride I guess.”

“If you’re really going to thank me, invite me in.” I closed the door to his smirking face.

Through the window I saw him still standing there shocked. I laughed, and walked away. The guy really is something. An idiot.

I walked into the living room. I put my bag onto the couch and turned on the TV before walking into the kitchen. I had to have noise in the house. A quite house is boring. I then grabbed an apple, and walked into my room, which is only a few steps from the kitchen. My room was opposite the living room, and the kitchen was next to the living room.
