Tay's POV.
3 days,3 days have passed without her and they have been the worst days of my life ever. I thought I could change her mind. Life without her is miserable and I can't sleep probably. I eat just because I have to eat, not because I'm hungry. I don't know what to do to convince her that we need each other, that we are each other's breathes. She doesn't answer my calls or maybe she blocked me and not being able to hear her voice is driving me crazy.
A sound breaks me from my painful thoughts and I look at my laptop to see I have a new e-mail. I have thrown myself into working to try to forget her. It only works for a while and then I will go back to thinking about her again. I don't know what to do anymore.
I open the e-mail and it's about one of my latest projects. My phone rings before I can read the e-mail.
"Danny?"I push my hair off my forehead and lean back on the single couch.
"I called to ask if you got the e-mail, sir?"I hear yawns and I look at the time at the bottom corner of the laptop. 2 am, it's read.
"Yes, I did Danny. Get some sleep. We will talk tomorrow. "I hang up and stand up from the couch and face the bed. I don't know when last I slept on it. It feels so foreign sleeping on it without her. Most of the time I end up falling asleep on the couch while working.
I stretch my arms and walk to the door. I walk through the hall and notice Nates door open slightly, and music coming from it. Andrew and Future moved to their new house, and Nate and I are the only ones left. I find him punching a black boxing bag in the middle of the room shirtless, sweat dripping off his body. Black hand wrap gloves on his hands and a song about savage love going on. I forgot how bad his taste in music is.
"It's bad to stare you know?" he says still punching the bag and I lift myself from the door frame and walk inside.
"What are you doing still up?"I seat on the bed.
"I could ask you the same thing" he fires back, holds the bag and look at me.
"I was working "I shrug and he raises his eyebrow at me questionably, but doesn't say anything. He takes off his gloves and hands them to me.
"And?"I ask, looking at the gloves.
"You look like you need it more than I do," he says and opens a bottle of water.
I take off my shirt and put the gloves on. I stand in front of the bag and start to punch. The bag turns to Donald and I find myself punching harder than before not caring about the pain. Everything I have been going through these past 3 days come back like a waterfall. The breakup and everything I have gone through.
"Woah! Slow down, man."A hand pulls me back and I break out of the trace I have been in. Nate is looking at me with a worried expression.
"You okay?" he asks and I shake my head no. I was able to keep it together for the past 3 days and now I'm breaking down like a little girl.
"It hurts. I feel like I can't breathe" I say trying to calm my breaths.
"I'm sorry man. I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through."
"I wish I could just forget her, her smile, her laugh. Her laugh!"I laugh a little when her smile flashes before my eyes.
"Her laugh is the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. Her small giggles lit up my day."A smile plays at my lips.
"Fight for her. Don't give up."Nate encourages.
"I can't anymore. I have to let her go like she did to me. There's no point in fighting for something that is dead anyways."I take a sip from the bottle.
"You and I both know you didn't mean anything you just said. You two are stronger than you think."
"I miss her," I say to myself, but I know Nate heard me.
"Then go get her."
"It's not that simple."
"The distance is nothing when one has a motive," he says and gulps down his water.
"Who said that?"
"Who said what?" he asks, confused.
"We both know you didn't come up with that sentence."A small smile forms on my lips.
"I'm hurt. My own brother!"I raise an eyebrow at him and he sighs in defeat.
"Fine, Jane Austen said it," he confesses and I let out a laugh.
"Since when do you read Jane Austen? When did you even start to read novels?"
"You would be amazed at the things I do because of love," he says and I can't let help but laugh at an image of Nate reading a novel.
"Yeah, we are whipped".
"You have the worst taste in music"I comment.
"We both know that's not true. This song is trending and touch that spot in your heart. Just listen to the lyrics." he restart the song and I listen. He is right, the song has a meaning. A girl dates the guy just to get back at her ex. The guy is hopelessly in love and he doesn't care that she is using him.
"I can also teach you some moves?"Nate says breaking my concentration on the song.
"I don't dance."I remind him. I hate dancing and everything that has to do with dancing. Maybe it's because I have never been good at it even though I never tried.
"Come on, live a little." he laughs. Nate has been the only one good when it came to trending stuff.
"They are simple I swear. Just watch." I sigh and watch. He touches his right side shoulder and go back to his left shoulder, and brings his hand down and sways his wrist. The beat gets along with his dancing and it's simple. He continues until the song ends.
"See, I told you it's simple," he says.
"I still don't dance" I grab the bottle of water and walk to the door.
"I saw Olivia doing this dance on TikTok by the way."I freeze at the door and turn a smiling Nate.
"Don't believe Me? Search her on TikTok." he rushes to the bathroom before I can interrogate him.
What the hell is TikTok? I walk back to my room and search for my phone when I walk in. I find it on the bed and search TikTok.
A app where everyone can post their own videos. It's reads.
I press download and within five minutes it has download. I put my names and gender, and it takes me to videos. I search for Olivia Payne but don't find it. Where the hell is that video? I sigh frustrated. Maybe Nate was lying to get me to do the stupid dance.
"I didn't think you would take me seriously and go on a rampage search for your wife on TikTok."A voice says amused. Nate is leaning against the door with his arms crossed and a smug smile on his face.
I clear my throat, "I don't know what you are talking about."I lie and he laughs.
"Sure you don't." he turns to leave.
"I just wanted to prove to you that you are not ready to let her go like you said you were," he shouts back as he walks away.
Tomorrow it's Donalds trail. With that, I try to get some sleep.
( Who else is obsessed with savage love by Jason Derulo? I even got my little bro to do the dance with me on TikTok😂.)
