(Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters or settings. They are all based on and inspired by J.K Rowling's fabulous Harry Potter series)

Your name in this story is Stella Rose. Information is going to come later in the story that will make it so you can look like however you want to. This storyline is before Harry Potter comes to school. It follows most of J.K. Rowling's information about before Harry comes along but it does have a few different things that go outside of what she has written. I hope you enjoy!

Comment and like so I can know if I should write more. This is a pretty short chapter and Snape is not in it, but I promise you he will be in it a WHOLE bunch! Just you wait, my dear reader!

Excitement fills your bones. You are going to be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. A job that you are more than qualified to teach. This particular subject is something you are extremely passionate about given your past. It wasn't a very saught after job though. Every teacher who had taught Defense Against the Dark Arts had only lasted at the most a few years in the position. You had heard that one of the professors here had been trying to get the job for a long time, but was refused it Everytime. At the moment you can't remember which teacher it was. You are afraid you would already have an enemy by the time you got there. You would see soon enough.

Unlike many of the teachers at the school, you had to take the Hogwarts Express. The only train that leads to the school. All of the students are aboard the train, most of the eager to start the new school year.

You remember your first year at Hogwarts. You were not very popular. You were quite clumbsy and your grades were never very high. You weren't the top in your class, but you loved it here. The life outside of the muggle world where you could truly be yourself and dig deeper into your craft made it so you never got tired of coming.
Dumbledore had been your headmaster and he was the headmaster once again. He never seemed to age a day. Dumbledore had always been kind to you, and was still to this day treated you with kindness.

After what had happened last year you thought that you would never life a happy life again. No one has been willing to give you a second chance. But Dumbledore, true to his nature, gave you one. And now your hope had risen and you were determined to live the life you have always wanted.
You currently had your own compartment in the train. You were up near where the prefects all congregated and were thankful for the calmness of this group.

You were deep into your books when a man opened your compartment door, startling you. You let out a yelp and drop your books.
"Oh!"says the man in great suprise, "I didn't know anyone was in here." Not answering him you pick up your books. It was not a great sign that a simple door opening had startled you. Are you really up to being the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts?
The man walks in and helps pick up all the books that fell. You are frustrated at yourself for being so jumpy that you don't even look at your helper.

"I'm sorry, Mrs..."

"Actually it's just miss," you reply with a little snap in your voice, "My name is Miss..." But you pause as you meet the eyes of the man. They are a shiny grey. You are caught off guard by how handsome he is. He has short brown hair that is devilishly styled. He's skinny and has a fierceness in him that radiates off his body. "Um-its a-Miss-Uh, Miss Rose." You cough trying to clear your voice. "Stella Rose, that is."

"Ah yes! The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, correct?" You simply nod your head in answer as he hands you the last bit of your books. "Alabaster Lee," The handsome man tells you, giving you a smile that makes your heart skip a beat, "Very pleased to meet you Stella Rose. You can only a manage a smile. Have you really been so alone that the first man you see you fall head over heels for? "Well, sorry to have startled you. I will leave you to your reading." And without any more word, Alabaster shuts the compartment door.

You can't wait to get to the school.
