I only own Elizabeth Potter and her story line. The rest of the ideas in this book belongs to J.K. Rowling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Elizabeth's POV
I got the bags I pack a few days ago and decide to take a stroll through Hogsmeade before heading to Hogwarts.I stopped by Zonkos shop, so many memories made here, I thought. I grabbed a few pranks and made my way to the counter. Just because I'm a teacher doesn't mean I can't have fun once in a while.
I also took a few things for the Weasley twins. What can I say, I see potential in them to become great pranksters. I'm just giving them a little nudge. Unlike most professors, I can tell them apart. We have a sort of alliance now, we don't prank each other. We do, however, help each other with pranks.
I stepped out of Zonko's and got some sweets from Honeydukes. I always loved passing by Hogsmeade, the little village made me quite relaxed. Sure, it brings back memories of a happier time, but I can only hope for a better future.
After a small conversation with Madam Rosmerta, I walked back home, greeting people as I passed.
Once I was back, I quickly packed my things and I head off to Hogwarts.
~Time Skip~
I went to my office immediately after getting to Hogwarts. My cat, Ace, lay down in her small bed. I started taking out my things to get settled in when I heard a knock on my door.
"Look who finally arrived," Aurora said, "you live so close yet you never get here early."
Aurora Sinistra was the Astronomy teacher at Hogwarts. She was very unemotional and serious towards most of the students, but that was just her professional side. She constantly reprimanded me for my pranks but I still consider her a good friend and I know she feels the same for me. Aurora had dark skin, black hair, and brown eyes. She had a strict and powerful aura around her.
"Living so close allows me to get here at whatever time I please, Aurora." I commented. "Could you help me sort out my things? We could then go for a walk around the castle, catch up on what we've been up to."
And we did just that. When we were walking, we started up a conversation with Professor Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank. She had lost a bowtruckle and needed help finding it.
"Where do you think it might have gone?" Aurora questioned.
"Well I'm not exactly sure. I was hoping to surprise the fifth years with one on the first day of classes as a sort of treat." Wilhelmina looked worried. I knew how much she adored teaching this class.
"Don't worry, we'll help you find it." I tried to sound enthusiastic, "surely it couldn't have gotten very far."
We set off looking for it. After about an hour I a little green figure head into McGonagall's office.
So that is how I ended up crawling on the ground of Minnie's office. She wasn't here at the moment so maybe I could—
"Ahem," Minnie was right behind me.
"Oh hey Minnie. I was just going on about my day, you know, as a mature adult—"
"Why are you on my floor?" She looked at me expectantly. Behind her I saw the bowtruckle up on a ledge. It was imitating her. "We have to be getting ready for classes. As much as I love your antics at times, right now is not a time to— oh would you stop laughing!"
I pointed behind her, holding my aching stomach from laughing too hard, and she saw the bowtruckle with its hands on its hips. It looked shocked to see her looking at him to as it started to leave, I got a hold of him.
"Finally caught you!" I exclaimed, holding the bowtruckle in my hands. As I exited, I looked at the confused McGonagall, "See you soon Minnie!"
I found Wilhelmina bear the dungeons, about to lose hope.
"Looking for this?" I held up her Bowtruckle.
"You found it? How wonderful! Thank you so much Elizabeth, you truly are a marvellous witch." She hugged me and we parted ways.
I sent Aurora a patronus message saying that we found it. She told me that she had to go plan out a lesson and said that I would have to continue the walk on my own. So I did. I walked through the dungeons, greeting the house elves as I passed through the kitchens.
I was about to go back to my office when I bumped into a large figure.
"Watch where you are going Potter." A dark voice snarled at me.
"It's Evans now Severus. What's gotten you in such a rotten mood?" I questioned him. We weren't close when we attended Hogwarts but we seemed to have a decent relationship now. I never liked how he treated his students but no matter what I told him, he wouldn't listen. But I know better then to make an enemy out of snivell- Severus...
"Old habits. I'm in a hurry to my office. More children to deal with this year. I'm busy so goodbye." He left swiftly.
"Oh, alright." I whispered after he left. I headed back to my office and got ready for the Start of the Term feast. Everyone would be arriving soon.
