Forgotten Souls

When did our journey take us here,

To the land we vowed to never roam?

The place where all forgotten souls,

Have learned to call as home sweet home.

Each of these forgotten souls,

Once led a life of peace.

But now for each of these lost people,

Their lives have already ceased.

All those forgotten souls remain,

Left to haunt the bloody earth.

They can never return home,

And enjoy their families' mirth.

And yet there are those who go,

Full of pride and valour.

When some return, some, not all,

They treat the place with abhor.

No matter how hard we try,

The strength to go back we lack.

For every person, young and old knows,

Those who have gone cannot come back.
