Everyone went on alert. Why would the League come here? That would be too risky for them, even when they had the upper hand. Was the risk worth it? "Everyone move to the first floor! Deku, you help me with the boy." He stayed and watched as his team ran away to help others.

"Alright, listen. You take the boy and take him to the car. I will go with you and cover you." Aizawa said while kneeling in front of the boy, giving him the same smile that he gave to citizens when he saved them.

"Hey! I'm Deku, a pro hero. It's gonna be a tough run, so hold on to me, alright?" With careful hands, he tried to pick the boy in bridal style. When Izuku lifted him, a loud sound shook the whole building almost sweeping him off balance. "We need to hurry! let's go!"

He adjusted the boy and ran behind Aizawa, who was already rushing forward.

Small hands found their way around Izuku's neck. He was startled by the sudden touch and hugged the boy a bit tighter when another loud sound came, making the ceiling above them crack. "—Aizawa! Do you hear me?–" "Yes, report the status of the situation." They were at the end of the staircase when they received the answer from his teacher's radio. "—They are heading your way, so be cautious. I'm already sending men to back you up. Over!–"

Taking a different trail would be safer, and Aizawa thought the same thing, moving the opposite way they came from. "Deku, make a path!" At half power, he kicked the wall in front of them to make an entrance. Of course, he was careful not to use too much power since he carried a person. That would end up bad.

He followed Aizawa to the car. It was a classic black Subaru WRX, a good car for stealth missions.

"We are transmitting, everyone back off. I repeat, back off!" Aizawa yelled into his radio while sitting behind the wheel. The man started the engine while Izuku seated himself in the back. A light shaking made him look down. The boy must have been cold, so like a good hero, he hugged the boy more closely, so that there would be as much skin contact as possible and to share his warmth.

They were already far away from the location since Aizawa speeded the whole way, breaking a few traffic rules. Soon, the city would be within reach.

"—They are following you! Aizawa, do you hear me?–" His teacher cursed under his nose. "We are heading to the Shikuzu station! Inform the heroes in there about the situation so they could get ready!"

It was the closest station in the area they were heading to.

"Izuku, how is the boy?" His teacher's voice was gentle, Izuku never heard his teacher talk in such a soft voice.

He looked down at his chest. The boy was staring into nothing, his eyes dull. It looked like the boy was trying to look as small as possible. Even his breath was so quiet that if Izuku didn't see his chest rising, he would think the boy isn't breathing. "There are no signs of fear or panic. It doesn't look like he has any serious injuries, either."

Something landed on top of their car. Aizawa stamped on the gas pedal, trying to take down whatever was on top of them.

Someone knocked on the window next to him. "The fuck?"

He cursed as the window broke.

Izuku used his body as a shield, protecting the boy in his arms from the flying glass.

"I think you have something that belongs to us."

A guy stretched his head through the broken window. Angry turquoise eyes met his green ones. Izuku noticed the piercings all over the villain's body, making the guy look somehow more dangerous. And the burns on his face, arms, and neck made Izuku frown. "Aizawa-" "Take the boy and run!"

With a quick turn, he opened the door on the opposite side and made a run for it. It wasn't an easy task to do since he didn't have any experience that involved jumping out of a speeding car, but with his quirk, he managed to lend without much of a problem. The sad thing was that the guy jumped after them. Aizawa's car stopped immediately, its wheels gliding on the asphalt when the guy left the door of the car.

Now, they were standing opposite each other. Blue flames burst on the other's palms. Izuku activated his quirk as well, waiting for the attack.

It never came.

"Seventeen, come here." The boy loosened his grip around Izuku's neck and got out of Izuku's hands. Slowly, he started to walk in the villain's direction. 'Seventeen? That's how they call this boy?'

"No!" Izuku caught the boy before he could go any further.

The guy smirked. "Seventeen... figh-"

Before the man could finish his sentence, heroes from the station showed up.

Well, it was about time!

Mirko and Hawks were the first ones to arrive. The two top heroes were probably informed by the agency about the attack.

"Dabi!" A voice from behind Izuku yelled. The guy turned in the direction of the sound. 'So that was the villain's name! The voice came from an ash blonde girl with two messy buns. She wore a school uniform. He raised an eyebrow at that. 'Was she a student?' Another two men walked into his view. One of them wore a black and gray bodysuit. It covered his body completely. The other was wrapped in his dark fog with a metal brace around his neck, wearing an elegant suit with a tie.

'Is this the League of Villains?' His mind was racing with conclusions.

"Did you get our plaything back?" The girl laughed, showing off her sharp teeth.

Whatever happens, he is not letting this boy go. They think he is a toy, and that made him angry. He let out a low growl as one of the villains took a step closer to them.

More heroes started to show up. Even his team caught up to them.

"We need to leave. Dabi, come here." The guy with the fancy suit told them. "But what about him!" Dabi pointed at Izuku and the boy.

"We will get him later."

A Portal appeared before the villain. "Shigaraki won't like this." The girl mentioned before jumping into the portal.

Dabi ran in the direction of the portal, but Mirko got in his way before he could go any further. She went for a front attack while Dabi used his fire and attacked. She had to dodge the wave of fire, and that gave thee villain the opening he needed. Within a few seconds, they disappeared.

Hawks stood next to him, his wings up in a shielding way. "You ok kid?" He nodded and looked at the boy who was looking lost. Mirko came to them with a big smile too, sweat dripping down her forehead. "Deku, right? Nice to finally meet you, and who is that blond you got?"

"He was found in the shelter. Now, if you excuse us, we need to go."

Aizawa cut them off and gestured for Izuku to get back into the car. Once back in the vehicle, a question popped into his mind.

"Sensei, where will the boy go after we get into the station?" The silence that followed was something Izuku didn't like.

"We don't know much about the kid, so there may be questioning. And if the kid proves to be harmless, we will keep him under our eyes." Aizawa said, giving him a minute to process before continuing.

"We will have to put him under a guardian. Who that will be is a question."

Izuku's mind went wild. One look at the kid, and he knew what he wanted. He took a deep breath. It was a risky decision. His mouth open, his voice coming out soft but determined. "I volunteer."
