It's been a week since the shop incident. The league didn't show up or made any new moves after that. The heroes on the patrol that day weren't able to catch Dabi, leaving Izuku on the edge.

Because of that, shopping with Uraraka had to be canceled, so kacchan had to wear his clothes a bit longer. They talked about rescheduling their meeting, but with what happened, he wasn't sure it was safe to stay outside.

It was way too quiet for Izuku's liking, but he knew better than to put too much mind into it. His priority was Kacchan.

It was Saturday morning, the day he planned to ask Kacchan about his past. Aizawa asked him to try and get some information, but Izuku was doing it for other reasons. He wanted Kacchan to trust him.

The two of them had a small talk once or twice before. Izuku asked him about how he felt or if he wanted to help out, just asking simple questions so that Kacchan could get comfortable first.

But today, after lunch, Izuku will ask him about more complicated topics. He only hoped that the blond wouldn’t take it the wrong way and stop talking to him.

They made chicken with rice again. It's not like either of them knew anything else. Kacchan was pretty good around the kitchen and Izuku couldn't help but be a bit jealous of how fast the other learned.

They finished eating and Izuku could feel the nervousness kicking in. "Kacchan? Can we talk for a while?" The blond let his plate be and looked up at Izuku.

Izuku kept a serious expression, which made the other anxious. 'Did I do something wrong?' Kacchan thought and tried to make himself smaller, nodding to Izuku's question.

"Can we talk about you? Or better said your past? O-of course, If– If it makes you uncomfortable, we can talk about it another time, but we have to talk about this sooner or later." Izuku was telling him everything with a gentle voice, trying not to sound too nervous.

He relaxed into his seat and nodded once again. There wasn't anything interesting about his past. Izuku would probably get bored soon and change the topic.

"Good! So... em, let's start from the beginning. Do you remember how you ended up with The League of Villains?" He remembers that very clearly, but before he could open his mouth and answer, Izuku's phone started to ring in his pocket. "Oh, sorry. Give me a second. It's Naomasa."

Izuku left to the next room. It didn't take long before the man was back, waving with his phone with a big smile on his face.

"I got good news. We found your parents."

His eyes widened. Every sound was put on mute as he closed into himself. All memories of 'them' came crashing down on him. He could feel his breath speeding and feel the blood rushing through his ears.

Izuku was by his side in an instant, the man's hands having a comforting grip on his shoulders. "Kacchan, what's wrong?!"

He couldn't react, somehow Izuku's voice sounded distant. Izuku's hands moved to grab his cheeks as the man began talking. "Kacchan! Talk to me!" He was trying, really trying, but his mouth wouldn't open.

"Come on, it's gonna be alright. I will protect you, no matter what." He found himself being pulled into a hug. Izuku wrapped his hands around him, pushing his head close to his chest. It was warm, Izuku's calm heartbeat worked perfectly to calm him down.

"I-I can't. Not my parents." Izuku was confused, pausing in his movements. Tears ran down his face, as he began shaking from fear, holding Izuku's shirt in a tight grip. "Please, don't let them take me!" His chest hurt, and he didn't know what it was, but Izuku's cooing helped to smooth the pain."I won't let them take you. It's alright, everything is fine."
