Izuku was losing. Dabi was a strong villain with experience after all. He himself saw Dabi's true power and it was terrifying. The villain kept his strength hidden pretty well too, and when the right time came, he was able to kill his opponents with a surprise attack.

Izuku was strong, Katsuki didn't doubt that, but he was barely keeping up with the villain and he was getting worried. Dabi didn't hold back one bit like he always does. No, Dabi was firing attack after attack, smiling devilishly when he hit his target.

Izuku was smart enough to keep himself higher, jumping from side to side on the walls and pillars holding the unstable ceiling. It was an effective tactic, making Dabi's strikes easier to dodge and it always gave him a good distance between the villain and him. Izuku was using his powers carefully.

Unlike Dabi, he had to hold back so that he didn’t injure his comrades. Izuku was trying, but Dabi had an advantage. It wasn't enough.

He scanned Dabi's face, watching as patience was slowly but surely disappearing. That meant the villain would start taking this seriously.

His eyes widened in horror as Dabi ran into the center of the room with a confident smirk. He knew what Dabi wanted to do. "Izuku, look out!"

The air around them rapidly heated to the point it was hard to breathe and then a flash of blue fire flickered from Dabi's hands, turning the small blaze into a tornado of fire.

It touched the roof, swaying the fire all over the place. That attack was almost impossible to dodge, and with Izuku's limited power, there wasn't a chance.

Before the flames could reach him, Riku grabbed him, pulling him closer to its chest, making sure he was protected.

When the air around them cooled down, Riku opened his arms. It took him a while before oriented, pushing himself away from the Nomu. Riku's burn marks quickly healed, which made his sight in relief, but the feeling didn't last long.

Katsuki was greeted with black walls and happy looking Dabi.
He looked around rapidly, trying to find Izuku. His eyes landed on a body laying on the floor without any kind of movement.

His eyes watered when he found a body just a few meters away, lying without any movement. "Izuku!" With tears dripping down his eyes, he ran to the body, knees hitting the now warm floor as he took in the sight of Izuku.

His arm reached out, but he paused at his movements when Dabi started to talk. "It's your fault, kiddo. If you just stayed with us, nobody would have gotten hurt. Your hero would have still been alive. You are broken now, he broke you, now let's go. It's time to fix you."

He shook his head, his small hand shaking the body, but with no success. "Wake up, damn it!"

He whispered and leaned his head closer to the body. And then he heard it. It was quiet but he heard it! Izuku's silent breath made his hand weak. The tears were falling for a different reason now.

A smile formed on his face as he relaxed his posture before giving Izuku a quick hug. He made a decision. If he goes back to the league now, Izuku will be safe and that's all he wanted.

He caressed the man's cheek and got up, making his way towards the villain with slow steps. "D-don't, Ka... Kac-kacchan." He freezes. Izuku coughed, pushing himself up with difficulties. Riku ran to Izuku, who was now trying to stand. "You are not dead yet?"

Dabi stepped closer. The sound of every step Dabi made rang in Katsuki's ears. It was deafening. A bad feeling filled his chest and it got strong as Dabi came closer and closer.

"Riku, bring here all the heroes you can." He whispered. The Nomu glanced at him and nodded, stepping away from Izuku before disappearing into the dark.

When Dabi was nearly a step away from him, he let the feeling take control. He will protect Izuku no matter what, and if it goes out of control, heroes will stop him.

His face twisted in agony. It hurt. He could feel it spread in his veins like venom. His hands sparkled with the first set of explosions as a warning. Fuck, his back started to hurt.

Dabi hesitated. He sent the villain a glare and Dabi's eyes narrowed, his hand raised, blue flame surrounding it. "Kneel before me or die."

He bit his bottom lip, holding in the groan that tried to force out of his throat. Dabi pointed his arm at him, sending a wave of fire his way. Katsuki barely dodged, the flames only caressing his cheek as he moved away. The pain in his back worsened at the movement, forcing a hiss out of him. It felt like something was trying to rip through his skin.

When he got up again, Dabi ignored him, stepping near Izuku instead. His breath got stuck in his throat as Dabi grabbed Izuku, forcing him down before grabbing his hair. "This should punish you."

It was like fear shut down his body. His mind went blank, surroundings moving in slow motion. That's when the pain in his back became unbearable.

With a scream, he fell to his knees, tears running down his face and his arms wrapped around him as if he was trying to curl into himself.

It felt like needles were injected into his skin, cracking it apart. His white shirt soaked with blood, turning his whole back red before it was torn off as something forced its way out of his back.

It wasn't Dabi's doing. The villain looked confused, pausing at his action to watch him warily.

"L-let Izuku go!" He cried, trying to stand up with the last bit of energy he had left. Dabi laughed, his arm gripping Izuku's hair tighter.

Izuku grunted from the sudden heat on the back of his neck where Dabi put his second hand, ready to kill.

"Stop!" He yelled, beginning to take a step, failing miserably. Dabi activated his quirk, making Izuku scream. The hero was trying to muffle his voice by hitting his lips, so the blond didn't need to know how much pain he was in.

"S-stop, pl-please stop." He didn't know if he was telling this to Dabi or the pain in his back that increased.

His shirt was ripped off and blood dripped down his shoulder blades to ribs, falling to the floor, creating a puddle underneath him.

He tried to catch his breath when the pain started to settle. Dabi smiled widely. "Are you finally unlocking your powers and being useful?"

Katsuki blinked away the tears, feeling a weight on his back. He turned his head to the side, noticing a set of black feathers.

Izuku stared at him in both awe and worry. Katsuki looked beautiful, almost like an angel with large black wings. Dabi let him go like a used toy and walked closer to Katsuki, who seemed to be in shock.

"This quirk was supposed to wake up later next year. Good job kid. " Dabi said as he observed the blond.

"Ka-Kacchan, no." Izuku reached his arm to the blond, whose face looked peaceful, almost like he didn't know what was going on. Dabi blocked Izuku's view when he crouched next to the blond.

Izuku didn't see what happened next. Dabi was suddenly slammed into the wall, groaning in pain. Katsuki was trying to get up, his eyes unfocused.

Izuku examined him up and down. Something about Kacchan was different. The way he stood showed he was still in agony, but his face didn't let that show.

Izuku tried to get up, to help him, but his back refused to move. Dabi was slowly starting to collect himself, looking angrier than before. "You little shit." That was the last thing the villain said before Kacchan went for his next attack.

A/N I'm kind of sad that I made Dabi this bad. ಥ_ಥ He is an amazing character, and I like him very much (♡⌓♡)
