Chapter 8

We leave the 'Amethyst' after a really filling and satisfying breakfast. Although it would be more fitting to call it a brunch since it is 11:30 and we're stuffed.

"So now can I know where we're going Jungkook? Pretty please!" I tried acting cute but aegyo doesn't work with him.

"Nope. Sorry. You'll have to wait"

Great! Now I'm just really embarrassed about the way I spoke.

We're driving in silence again so I turn on the stereo. They're playing Infinite now. It's been ages since I last listened to Infinite. It's a very old song called 'Real Story' and I just can't control my excitement.

I let out a small squeal, realize what I did and turn to look at Jungkook and he laughs. I sigh internally.. I was sure he'd glare at me. Once again I'm surprised, as I didn't know I could sigh internally.

"Infinite right?", he asks.

"Yes!! Wait how do you..."

"I remember how you and Songbi noona used to be such huge fans", he says with a smile.

"Songbi!! God... I miss her!!"

"Yeah. Me too."

I go back to listening to the song. When the chorus comes on I start singing along without even realizing.

Jungkook surprises me by joining me the second time the chorus comes on.

They play Seventeen, Astro and a few other bands next.

I'm once again lost in a Got7 song 'IF (Manyage)' when Jungkook says "We're here".

Where on earth is here Jungkook-ah??

We open our respective doors and get out. We're in front of a multistory building and I figure that it is probably an apartment complex. There about fifty floors and there are are only two reasons that we could be here for.

Either we're here to visit a relative or an important friend, or the more likely reason would be.. we're here to buy an apartment.

If that is the case I totally understand why Jungkook didn't want to tell me earlier.

Number one, I'd have freaked out and number two this is really, really, really embarrassing.

He clears his throat and I look up at him. He says,

"Our parents wanted us to choose an apartment for ourselves. They said that this will be temporary and that they're going to build us our own mansion in two or three years but of course..."

"Yeah, I get it Jungkook. So which floor do we have to check out?" I sound cheerier than I feel. But trust me this is actually a really weird thing to be doing.

"It's a penthouse. The last floor. Fifty-five."

Gulp. That's way too high. I just hope they have a really good elevator. Because I have a teeny-weeny bit of motion sickness.

"Okay Lead the way"

I follow him inside and the elevator is on the thirtieth floor so we have to wait. I look around and note that the lobby is very pretty. There are potted plants, yellow lights and just the right amount of décor.
