-Third-person POV-
"Protect them for me, Talia. They need you." The alpha said, struggling to breathe.
She was holding on tightly to two small infants. They were both sleeping peacefully as if nothing was wrong as if their mother wasn't dying. Talia tried to keep the young alpha alive a little longer, but nothing was working, she had too much poison flowing through her veins. A young boy hides behind the door, watching from afar. He looks at the pale and fragile figure on the bed, wishing that he could come in. Talia spots the boy and goes to shoo him away when the dying alpha beckoned him closer.
"Clove, mama has to go away for a while, and I need your help. I need you to help Ms. Talia here with your baby sisters, okay?" The boy nodded, tears forming in his eyes.
"Where are you going? Why do you have to go?" He asked.
"I'm sorry, sweet boy but I cannot tell you, but you will figure out someday. I love you so very much. I love your sisters very much too, and I need you guys to be safe."
He nodded again, watching as her eyes closed, and her head fell to the side as if she were sleeping. The newborns started wailing as if sensing something was wrong. Clove carefully picked up one of them.
"It's okay, mommy just went to sleep, she'll wake up in a little while. " He coos.
The baby was lulled back to sleep. Ms. Talia took us to her home after that, where the children met the Hale family, their new family.
-15 years later-
Clove was jolted out of his sleep, the dream still haunting his mind. They had been with the Hales for 15 years, and his little sisters had just finished their first year of high school. His sisters and brother, Derek went to get ice cream to celebrate the last day of school for them. They were walking back home when the dream popped into his head again. The thing is, it didn't seem like a dream, it felt like a memory.
"Hey, Derek."
"Yeah?"
"I need to talk to June and Sage for a minute."
"Alright, I will be inside if you need me."
Clove nods and guides his sisters through the woods. He told them about the memory he had, and how it seemed to have been taken away from him. They sat on the ground, protected by the trees surrounding them. They sat there, talking for a while. Something caught the attention of the boy, but it was too late. A bullet whizzed by his head, barely missing him. He shifted into his werewolf form and jumped in front of the girls, who had also shifted. Something was thrown at them, falling behind them. The smoke bomb went off, emitting wolfsbane into the air.
Loud bangs sounded in the air, and burning sensations filled them everywhere. Everything became blurry to Clove, before falling into darkness.

I lost a friend
Like keys in a sofa
Like a wallet in the backseat
Like ice in the summer heat
I lost a friend
Like sleep on a red-eye
Like money on a bad bet
Like time worrying about
Every bad thing that hasn't happened yet
When they woke up again, they didn't feel much better than the last time they were awake, horrible. Ms. Talia was standing in front of the tombs where the dying children laid. The entire Hale family was there, trying to find a different way to save them, but they all knew there was only one way. Derek hadn't left the side of his best friend in a while, he was a complete wreck. They had to put them in something like a coma, but they don't age. Derek's mother said that they would heal in a year and that they will be okay, but he didn't know what he would do without them for a year.
I know I'll be alright, but I'm not tonight
I'll be lying awake counting all the mistakes I've made
Replaying fights
I know I'll be alright, but I'm not tonight
I lost a friend, I lost a friend
I lost my mind, and nobody believes me
Say, "I know that he doesn't need me
'Cause he made a little too much money to be 20 and sad"
And I'll be fine without 'em
But all I do is write about 'em
How did I lose a friend I never had?
Never had
I'm on the mend
Like I'm wearing a neck brace
Like I'm sleeping in my own place
Like I'm pulling all the stitches out of my own face
I'm on the mend
Like I'm icing a new sprain
Like I'm walking on a new cane
Like it's been a couple days
Since I slipped and said something sorta like your name
"I can't lose you June, you need to get better. Please get better."
Then only a few days later, Talia took away their memory of them, knowing that it was hunters' bullets and poison that had almost killed them, and she needed to protect her family. Little did she know that her family would burn. She had also died that night, but not before she told her son to remember them, to wake them up, to remember his best friends, his family. He searched and tried to figure it out for years, but could find nothing. He had to find what she wanted him to find. He had to find his friends.
I know I'll be alright, but I'm not tonight
I'll be lying awake counting all the mistakes I've made
Replaying fights
I know I'll be alright, but I'm not tonight
I'm on the mend, but I lost a friend
I lost my mind, and nobody believes me
Say, "I know that he don't need me
'Cause he made a little too much money to be 20 and sad"
And I'll be fine without 'em
But all I do is write about 'em
How did I lose a friend I never had?
I'd apologize if I thought it might make a difference
Or make you listen
I'd apologize if it was black and white
But life is different
Just try to listen to me now
I know I'll be alright, but I'm not tonight
I lost a friend, I lost a friend
I lost my mind, and nobody believes me
Say, "I know that he don't need me
'Cause he made a little too much money to be 20 and sad"
And I'll be fine without 'em
But all I do is write about 'em
How did I lose a friend I never had?
Never had
