Stiles, Scott, and I walk down the sidewalk towards the party. Stiles and I had out hands intertwined and Scott was unusually quiet.
"What?" Stiles asks.
"What do you mean, what?" Scott asks.
"He means what and you know what." I tell him.
"What what?" Scott asks.
"That look you were giving." Stiles says.
"I wasn't giving a look."
"Oh, there's a distinct look."
"What look?" Scott asks, confused.
"The one that says the last thing you feel like doing is going to a party."
"It's not that. It just feels a little weird going to a different high school's party."
"One drink, you'll be fine. I went to nursery school with this girl. She promised to introduce us to all of her friends-"
"What?" I ask.
"I mean- Introduce Scott to all of her friends... So no Allison. You're moving on." Stiles says, chuckling nervously. I nod slowly.
"You're right." Scott says to Stiles.
"That's right I'm right."
"Moving on."
"Onward and Upward." Stiles says as we walk up the driveway.
"Let's do this." Scott says.
"That's what I'm talking about."
Scott turns to me. "How's my breath?" He asks.
I scrunch my nose. "I'm not smelling your breath."
"Do you have any gum?" He asks Stiles.
"No gum. You're fine." Stiles assures.
"What kind of party is this?" I ask as we stand at the door.
"It's a birthday party." Stiles answers as we step inside.
A blonde girl walks over to us, smiling brightly. "Stiles!"
"Hey! There's the birthday girl..." She presses her lips to my boyfriends. I let go of Stiles hand, shifting away slightly. Anger boils in me. I keep it contained as Stiles quickly pulls away.
"I'm glad you could make it!" She says happily.
"June?" Scott asks. I stay silent, not wanting to cause any trouble, but still feeling the simmering anger beneath.
"I'm glad too..." Stiles looks over at me.
"Hi! I don't think we've met before, I'm Heather." Heather says cheerfully to me.
"Hey, I'm a certain someone's girlfriend named June. I'm going to go get drunk."
I walk off before she can say anything else. I walk over to a table full of cups and take one, downing the whole thing. I felt angry, very angry. 'She didn't even ask if he had a girlfriend.' I take another cup and head outside. I sit on the front porch, groaning at the realization that I can't get drunk. A car pulls up, Allison and Lydia get out, walking over to me.
"Do you know where Scott and Stiles are? We need your help." Scott walks out of the house.
"This isn't the talk we're going to have, is it?" Scott asks. Allison shakes her head.
She pulls up her sleeve, showing a bruise. Lydia got out and joined us. She turned to me. "Stiles?" She asks.
"Here." Stiles stands behind me.
