I crawl out of Stiles jeep and follow them into the school.

"There's got to be some other way to get tickets, right?" Scott questions.

"It's a secret show. There's only one way. And it's a secret."

I look over and see Matt looking at us. He hurries over. "Hey, do you guys know why nobody's getting suspended for what happened the other day?"

"Forget about it. Nobody got hurt." Stiles says.

"I got a concussion."

"Well, nobody got seriously hurt."

"I was in the ER for six hours."

"You really want the truth, Matt? Your little bump on the head is about this high on our list of problems right now." Stiles stoops down and holds his hand close to the ground.

I tug on his shirt and he stands up again, looking frustrated.

Scott jumps in. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Fine now. And I saw you didn't get tickets last night either."

"You know if they're still selling?"

"No. I managed to find two online. You should keep trying. Sounds like everyone's going to be there." Matt walks off.

Stiles stares at Matt as he walks away. "I don't like him." I sigh and start to pull him away.

"Are you sure about this?" I ask.

"Last time, whoever's controlling Jackson had to kill someone because he couldn't finish the job. So what do you think he's going to do this time?"

"Be there to make sure it happens." Stiles answers.

We stand in a circle looking at the vet. He holds up a bottle of clear liquid.

"Ketamine?" Scott says.

"Same thing we use on the dogs, just a higher dosage." Deaton replies.

He hands Scott the bottle. "If you can get close enough to Jackson, it should slow him down enough to buy you some time."

"This," Deaton holds up a bottle of mountain ash. "This is a sample of what you'll use to create the barrier. Now, this part is for you, Stiles. And only you."

"That sounds like a lot of pressure. Could we find a slightly less pressure-filled task for me?"

"Supernatural creatures can't touch it, if you make a barrier, we won't be able to go through it." I tell him.

Deaton nods at me. "She's right. It's from a mountain ash tree which is believed by many cultures to protect against the supernatural. This office is lined with mountain ash wood which makes it difficult for someone like Scott or June to cause me any trouble."

"So I spread this around the whole building and neither Jackson or whoever's controlling him won't be able to cross it?" Stiles asks.

Deaton nods again. "They'll be trapped."

"That doesn't sound too hard." Scott says optimistically.

"That's not all there is. Think of it like gunpowder. It's just powder until a spark ignites it. You need to be that spark, Stiles."

"If you mean light myself on fire, I'm not sure I'm up for that."

"Let me try a different analogy. I used to play golf. What's interesting about the best golfers is they never swing without first imagining where they want the ball to go. They see it in their mind. And their mind takes over. It can be pretty extraordinary what the force of your own will can accomplish."
