JD is gay. She is the only out lesbian in her school and it's not a very accepting one. To put it lightly.
Alison, on the other hand, is your stereotypical blonde cheerleader who has allegedly been with every member of the school's football team.
They could not be more different.
But when they are partnered together (against their will) for an important history project that accounts for almost half of their final grade, they are forced to put their differences aside and end up getting along much better than anyone expected.
