"It's not like Alison had a crush on JD. If she did she'd be thinking of her all the time, she'd brighten up every time JD was near, she'd get butterflies every time JD complimented her and she'd --
Fuck.
She had a crush on JD."
☁️☁️☁️
JD is gay. S...
History, Alison thought, is one of the worst subjects at this school. Easily.
As she listened to her teacher, Ms Murray, drone on and on about a project of some sort, she started to drift asleep. She didn't feel the need to listen; she'd just partner up with that smart kid who sits in the front row and get her to do all the work.
Just as she shut her eyes, she heard something that made her head snap up.
"Now, I wanted to try something new this time, so I have already chosen your pairs."
What!?
"— Katie, you're with Chad —"
That's the smart girl partnered up with Chad, the lucky bastard. Ah well, I should be fine. As long as I don't end up with —
"— and finally Alison, your partner is JD."
"Ugh, gross," Alison sneered, glaring at the short-haired girl next to her, who retaliated by leaning on her hand with her middle finger pointed up. Bitch.
"Remember boys and girls, this project will amount to 45% of your final grade and no, you cannot swap partners so put your hand down, Jake."
Fuck.
"Class dismissed."
Alison groaned as she picked her bag up from the ground and swung it over her shoulder. She noticed JD already making her way to the door and coughed slightly to get her attention.
"What?"
"We've got to work on the project, dummy," Alison said, trying to refrain from rolling her eyes.
"Okay," JD sighed, as if talking to her was such a chore.
"Also, never flip me off again."
There was a slight pause as JD looked Alison up and down before holding out her hand for Alison to shake, "Fine ... truce?"
She can't be serious.
"Not happening."

God, sometimes Chad could be so annoying.
"C'mon, babe, give me a kiss," he teased, leaning in as she leaned away. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw JD standing awkwardly next to them and just as she was about to turn away, Alison held out her hand to stop her.
"Why are you here?" she asked, pushing Chad away to face JD, who shrugged slightly before answering.
"Do you want to work on our project in the library after school?" JD said, sparing a glance towards Chad.
"Sure."
"Now get lost, f*ggot," Chad laughed, as he grabbed Alison's wrist and started pulling her away, but not before she saw JD roll her eyes in annoyance.
