JD was definitely avoiding her.

There was absolutely no way she could have missed her all day. She kept an eye out even in the hallway between classes, but to no avail.

She couldn't really blame JD, though. Alison shuddered just thinking back on what happened. What could have possibly possessed her at that moment to say what she did? That was meant to be a rhetorical question, but her traitor brain answered anyway; because you didn't want the other girls to know you liked her.

When she had arrived home the previous day, her mum had noticed straight away that something was off. Alison didn't even greet her as she walked through the door, simply stating that she was tired. Something everyone knows is the universal saying for 'there's something wrong, but I don't want to talk to you about it so I'm just going to blame my mood on not getting enough sleep.'

It was kind of depressing that Alison had thought she could trick her mum -- the woman who literally gave birth to her -- with that excuse, but it wasn't long until Alison was crying in her arms telling her everything -- even her newly discovered crush on JD.

To her surprise, her mum didn't push her away, but simply held her closer.

"It's ok, everyone gets girl crushes at some point in their life. You don't need to worry about it"

Alison had pulled away from the embrace and stared blankly at her mum before speaking, "This isn't just a 'girl crush', mum. This is a crush. I think I really like her and I think I'm ..."

She had taken a deep breath in before looking her mum in the eye and continuing, "I think I'm bisexual."

Saying it out loud for the first time had solidified something in her head. She had spent the next hour or so googling 'How to tell if I am bisexual' and 'Am I bisexual?' quizzes just to be sure.

Which lead to what she was about to do. She needed to apologise to JD and tell her how she feels. How she truly feels. But first, she needed to find her.

Excusing herself from where she and her 'friends' ate lunch (a quick 'sorry guys, it's my time of the month' did the trick), Alison started to make her way around all the common places to eat lunch in search of JD; but she wasn't outside the library, in the cafeteria, or even on the tables out front.
