The Strange Old Man

Dish for Mr Martin

Chloe and Tootie were having lunch that day. "You know every time I eat food these days, I always think of the stage man." Tootie said staring at her plate of Bacon. "Why don't we give him some food." she suggested. Chloe being excited said, "Why not eating Bacon dishes?" Tootie then turned to Chloe with a look of seriousness and said, "That's not nice." 

"Give my dishes to who?" Wanda asked. "Just some old man." Chloe answered. "Its the strange man." Tootie said correcting Chloe. She then explained, "We saw him scraping for some food." "Oh, you should have said so, I can put some in the container for you to take." Wanda said as she went to the kitchen to pack Mr Martin's lunch. "Great, Now he's going to kill us." Tootie said feeling scared of the outcome.

After lunch, The two girls went to visit the man. "Mr Martin, these are from my Godmother." Chloe said as she gave the lunchbox to Mr Martin. "Its a Bacon dish." Tootie said. "We're sorry." The two apologised to the man. 

When he opened the lunchbox, he wasn't furious instead he was happy. Mr Martin exclaimed, "Bacon? It's my favourite. My wife used to make it and serve it with barbeque sauce." he explained. "Why not you come to Wanda's place to have it there?" Tootie asked. "Deal." Mr Martin said and he went inside his house and went to the chest to find a shirt.

"I bought this years ago. When my wife was still alive." Mr Martin said as he showed the girls the shirt. "I know it would be useful one day." he said as he wore the shirt on. 

Chloe smiled and her thoughts rushed, "Some times I wished that Tootie would keep her mouth shut. But somehow in situations like that, It would be impossible." Now they were friends with Mr Martin. Now it was Wanda's turn to kill me." Chloe's thoughts rushed. Fearing the consequences, she scratched her head.
