Edward was finally brought into the Throne room that looked now more like a torture chamber with all the blood splattered everywhere. It was literally everywhere. It covered the walls, the stone steps and the marble floor running like a river into the drain hidden in the bottom step up to the thrones. As Edward was brought in by Felix and his once brother, he struggled to get out of their hold even though it was no use. He knew what was going to happen to him. He was the last one to be brought out. First it had been Dumbledore who had been tortured by each of the three kings, then by Felix, Demetri, Emmett, Riley, Athenadora and Sulipica. And then finally Jane and Alec before Marcus killed him as he was then begging for death after he had been made to feel all the pain he had caused to countless others including his own brother and sister.

Next had been Bella so he and Alice had to watch as she was dragged away to be tortured and killed, then Alice who had also been tortured and killed but Jasper and Rosalie had joined in this time to get their own back on all the pain and suffering she had caused them. And finally it was his turn. "Emmett please, we're brothers." Edward begged desperately but Emmett just chuckled darkly at him.
"You are nit my brother. You have no longer been my brother since you thought it was a good idea to harm my mate. Well, I'm going to make sure you will never harm her again!" Emmett growled as he threw Edward to the floor in front of the steps.

"I'm glad to hear that Emmett!" Marcus called from his throne as he rose to his feet. "I'm glad my daughter has found such wonderful mates that they would do anything to protect her." He said giving Emmett and Riley a small smile before a deadly look came over his face as he looked at Edward. He had no words for this disgusting piece of filth, without taking his eyes off of Edward's he called out to Jane and Alec. "Jane, Alec." From behind Edward he could hear Jane speak the dreaded words as he slumped to the floor twitching and jerking as a terrible scream spilling out of his lips. It seemed to last on for an age as the two siblings took it in turns using their powers on him until he could no longer move. Out of the corner of his bleary eyes he saw Aro raise his hand signalling for the twins to stop. He breathed in a sigh of a relief his senses slowly coming back to him and he was able to get up on his knees.

"Emmett. Riley." Caius gestured to Edward and the two leaky forwards and ripped Edward apart slowly piece by piece before throwing his body into the fire followed by his head. "Is he the last one to go in the fire?" Aro asked looking around the room at the members of his guard.
"Yes Aro." Demetri said bowing to the head of the Volturi.
Aro nodded his head. "Very well. Demetri, Felix as you have kept my niece safe you can rejoin her once again. But make no mistake. If you ever endanger her again you shall receive the treatment Dumbledore and the others have just been served." He said sternly.

"Yes Masters." Felix and Demetri said bowing to them. "We will never do that again. We promise." They spoke in unison.
"Good," Marcus spoke softly but there was an edge to his voice as he stared at the two members of the guard. "Someone clean this room up. Elle does not need to see this and fetch Carlisle and his mate." He ordered. Once the room was cleaned up and all the blood was gone Carlisle and Esme entered the room following behind Jane. "Ah, Carlisle my old friend." Aro called jovially. "We shall keep our promise. You helped save my niece and so you two and the two other members of your Coven shall be spared. This time. Make no mistake if you ever reveal our secret to a human again you will be killed without hesitation." Aro said sternly glaring at his old friend.

"Thank you Aro." Carlisle said gratefully Esme giving her own thanks as well. They would never reveal their identity again and would make sure that no one suspected what they were again they had learned their lesson. "I promise we will never betray you again or go against the laws set in place." He told them.
"Make sure that you don't." Caius hissed. "Tell the others our thanks and to leave unless they wish to join us. And tell them if any of them speaks a word about my niece they shall suffer the same fate as Bella, Alice and Edward. Now go." Caius ordered waving his hand once he was sure his threat had sunken in. Carlisle and Esme bowed to the three Kings and left the throne delivering the message to the others and gathered Jasper and Rosalie leaving Volterra.

The only members who stayed and joined the Volturi guard were Benjamin who had turned out to be Jane's mate, his sister Tia who was Alec's mate and the Irish Coven as Maggie was Felix's mate and Siobhan and Liam had wanted to stay with their daughter. The other members who had fought with them left after what was left of the Olympic Coven left. The Volturi and their guard made their new members to swear loyalty and to always protect Ardelle and to never mutter her name to anyone outside of this castle. Once they were satisfied with the oath they sent their new members to feed and clean up as they breathed a sigh of relief. Ardelle was finally safe.
