Chapter Twelve, The Wedding
Ardelle smiled as she looked at her engagement ring on her finger. She can't believe it's been two years since she met her mates Emmett and Riley and she loved them so dearly. Looking at her ring she thought back to the first date they had taken her on a week after the battle.
Flash back: First Date
'It was a week after the battle not that you could tell there had been a battle against wizards to protect Ardelle as all signs had been cleared up in a matter of seconds with a flick of her, Sirius' and Remus' wands. She had been so happy her uncles had let Remus stay, she had been worried about her uncle Caius as he hates werewolves due to being attacked by one years ago only just managing to get away. But when he saw his niece's heartbroken face at the thought of not seeing her other Godfather Caius couldn't bare to see her so upset, so heartbroken and had let Remus stay.
As long as he took his potion and transformed in the courtyard with Sirius as Padfoot and Ardelle a graceful artic fox that her Godfathers had named, Venus the Roman version of Aphrodite. It also helped that Remus was a true werewolf and not a shifter that had attacked him. After awhile he slowly warmed up to Remus and the pair struck up a rather good friendship. It seemed despite his shy manner Remus could make friends with anyone.
Once things had settled down and Volterra repaired Emmett and Riley took Ardelle on their first date to the St Marcus festival and she loved every minute of it as they joined in with the festival, visited the neighbouring village and took in all of the history that Volterra had to offer. Thanks to a spell Sirius had performed with Ardelle's help before the battle the vampires of Volterra were able to go out into the sun without sparkling and their red eyes hidden by a glamour spell. Which came in handy with the date as it was rather sunny and the threesome spent all day out in the sun and when the sun started to set they had a beautiful picnic out on the terrace watching the sunset as Emmett and Riley fed her some grapes and they got to know her better.
When they had returned back to Volterra they had a surprise for her as they both gifted her a bouquet of roses which she happily thanked them placing them into a vases in their room. Slowly but surely the feelings they felt for their precious mate strengthen and they knew they would do anything for her, give her anything she wanted and would do anything to see her beautiful smile and beautiful laughter. But their feelings did not go unrequited, Ardelle returned them in equal measure for the pair of them. She loved them and respected them both equally and she treated them as such.'
Ardelle came out of her thoughts only to be brought into another one this one was just as precious to her if not more so then the one of their first date. This one was when Emmett and Riley had proposed to her six months ago.
Flashback of proposal
'Emmett and Riley had taken Ardelle to Venice as a little getaway. They explored the city taking in all of its sights and delights. Exploring all over the city as they were only there for three days. On their last day they had a romantic meal in cute romantic restaurant before they had ridden in gondola as the sun was setting reflecting beautifully off the water. As they had passed under a bridge the man pushing the gondola played some sweet romantic music and when she turned around she saw both Emmett and Riley on one knee before her. Emmett holding open a velvet box that had the most beautiful ring inside.
