As usual, Emma was doing her homework in the school's library. She'd tried to fix her bag with needle and thread as a new one was too expensive, but she hadn't succeeded very well.

She was doing her maths homework and was almost finished, when the door to the library opened.

Emma looked up and saw Regina walking inside. This time alone. She sighed softly and concentrated on her work again.

She didn't know what Regina was doing in the library this early, but she didn't really care. As long as she wouldn't bother her.

But, of course Regina Mills had to take place in the chair next to Emma's.

"Thought I might find you here," she said and looked at Emma's work. "Doing your homework, huh?" Regina inquired, but Emma ignored her.

"How are you?" The brunette questioned and as Emma knew there was no working with Regina she started packing her bag without a further word.

She shoved her chair back and stood up. "Come on, Quiet Girl," Regina said as Emma walked away.

The blonde sat down somewhere else in the library, hoping that Regina would take the hint, because she really had to finish her homework.

Regina scoffed and stood up as well, before she sat down next to Emma again.

"Are you angry with me?"

Emma sighed exaggerating and turned to Regina. "Can't you see I'm trying to work here?" She snapped. "Please be quiet."

Regina raised her eyebrows and muttered a soft okay as she studied the blonde.

"I didn't know you worked at that B&B," Regina said after a few minutes of silence.

"You really don't shut up, do you? What more do you want from me, Regina? You gave me detention, ruined my bag and pushed me on the floor, causing me to be called to the headmistress's office during my History class. So, I ask you one last time, what are you doing here? Want to pull my hair? Break my glasses? Honestly, I don't even care what you do as long as you're quiet," Emma snapped and continued working on her maths exercise.

Regina looked dumbfounded at the girl. No one at school had ever snapped at her like that, and frankly, she admired Emma for it.

"I want to say sorry for all that," Regina softly said.

Emma didn't reply and tried to solve her math problem. She didn't need all Regina's petty excuses. It didn't solve anything.

"You don't have to say sorry. I'm not going to like you anyway, so you can keep your excuses to yourself," Emma said and scribbled something down.

"We still have to work on that debate together."

Emma sighed and rolled her eyes. "As I said, I did my part and you don't care about your grade, so I think we solved that problem."

"Well, maybe we can just hang out then after school."

The blonde groaned softly. "Do I look like I can hang out after school? Especially with you bothering me when I'm trying to make my homework, I don't have time."

"So, you can't come over after school?"

"Got work," Emma curtly replied and even if she didn't have to go to work, she still wouldn't go.

"Tomorrow?"

"Work."

"The day after-"

"Regina, I'm going to spare you some time. I work every day."
