I pray to God every night to keep you safe in his loving hand. I pray for him to be your shield. Each night I put my head to my pillow, trying to tell myself that I am strong because I have gone one more day without you.
Today, while I am writing this, I am confirming those promises to you. I will always love and be faithful to you no matter how far you are. I promise to be honest and respect you, to comfort and take care of you, and to mail you letters.
I promise to love you when life seems easy and when life seems hard. I will forever be there to laugh with you and to lift you up when you are down. I love when you always put my happiness first.
I have never met someone who knows me as well as you do. You come across strong and tough to most people but I know deep down, I am your weakness and I value those moments when you open up and are sensitive to me.
I promise to not take advantage of that side of you. You make me feel safe and secure and I am truly blessed to have you in my life. I cannot wait for you to come back home.
