Chapter 2

Drew Mitchell sat at star labs with Cisco, Caitlin and Dr. Wells.

They were waiting for Barry to return. Drew told Dr.Wells what she saw and he told her about Barry's abilities and how he got them.

"So if Barry's cells are... sped up, does that mean he'll age faster, heal faster?"
Drew questioned."

"Well, we found that he can heal, he broke his arm and it healed in 3 hours." Caitlin explained to her, then Barry came storming in.

"I wasn't the only one affected by the particle accelerator-Drew?"

Drew stood up " Hey Barry." she waved. He looked at Dr.Wells, "What is Drew doing here."

Dr.Wells wheeled out from behind his desk.

"Drew knows about you Barry. She saw something impossible and came to us."

Barry looked at Drew "How?"

Drew stepped forward "In the police station, when that guy tried to grab an officers gun, you stopped him, and when you left, I followed you, I saw what you could do."

Barry nodded the he looked at her head "What happened to your head?" He said walking up to her and examining her forehead.

Drew shrugged "it's nothing", then Caitlin looked at her head. "Drew, that's not nothing, you need stitches."

As Caitlin stitched up Drew's forehead Drew explained what happened " when I followed Barry, I hid behind a car, then Barry ran into the car, it jolted back and hit me in the head."

Caitlin nodded and Barry looked shocked "Drew, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, well I didn't know that you were - I'm sorry." He rambled on.

Drew laughed "Its okay Barry."

Barry sighed. Then Drew remembered Iris. "Barry, Iris doesn't know about you does she."

He shook his head. "She doesn't and I want to keep it that way."

Drew was confused "Why Barry, why keep this from your best friend?" He sighed "If she knows about me, then maybe other meta humans will go after her to get to me, I can't put her in that danger."

Drew nodded. "Yea, but Barry, she's your best friend, she's bound to find out."

" It's better that she finds out later, not now." Barry said. Drew nodded. "Okay. But when the time comes for you to tell her, you have to tell her everything and how long you've been lying to her."

Barry looked at the floor and nodded.

Barry and Drew were on a walk and we went to jitters, she actually had money with her this time so she could get a coffee.

Barry stopped and Drew followed his gaze, it was Iris and Eddie.

She mentally face palmed. Crap. She turned towards Barry "Oh god, I totally forgot to tell you about them."

He looked hurt, because he was in love with Iris, but it was like he couldn't hear me. He didn't look at Drew after she apologized.

Drew sighed "Fine, don't listen to me." she mumbled under her breath, Barry looks at her "What were you saying?"

Drew shook her head and walked into Jitters, she ordered a vanilla latte and walked outside and Barry and Iris were gone, leaving Drew alone with Eddie.

She sat at the seat on the opposite of Eddie's.

"Hey Drew." He greeted her and she sighed "Hey Eddie."

Drew took a sip of her latte and almost chocked on it, it was so hot.

Eddie raised his eyebrows "You know I saw you try to talk to Barry, he didn't listen did he?"

She shook her head "Nope, he was too distracted because he was so shocked that his best friend was dating her dad's partner and none of us bothered to tell him."

Eddie laughed."excuse me?" She said curtly and Eddie shook his head "You like him don't you?"

Drew laughed " what? noooo...." she said rather unconvincingly.

Eddie put his coffee cup down. " I knew it!" Drew rolled her eyes "I. Do. Not. Like. Barry. Allen." she said slowly so Eddie could process her words.

Eddie shook his head "Denial, you really like him."

She took in a long breath, and stood up. "Eddie, this was a nice talk, but I have to go now."

Drew grabbed her latte and hurried the her apartment.

Drew Mitchell was sitting in the couch in her living room watching TV when her phone went off.

The screen read 'BARRY ALLEN.'

She groaned and answered her phone, "you need to be at star labs, like now" Barry said into her phone, even before she could say anything.

"Umm, why?"

"Because, Clyde Martin is alive, he's the meta human that can control the weather."

Drew furrowed her eyebrows "That's not possible, Joe said he died in a plane crash the night of the particle accelerator explosion ... oh, you don't think that's how he got his powers, do you?

"That's exactly what I think... now get over here."

"Okay, see you in a bit bye Barry." Drew ended the call and groaned as she got up off the couch.

She grabbed her purse and left her apartment.

Why did they need her at Star Labs, Barry never really answered her question, so she left her apartment, having no idea what she was getting herself into.
