Here is Chapter 3, i just want to say that some of the things involving the whole Silas/Qetsiyah story maybe different from the original story that is mentioned on the show. I am doing this in order to incorporate Stefan into the story. I also want to say that Stefan and Silas will not turn immortal until they are atleast 20-21. The reason for this is because i want them to be more mature. I know Stefan turned when he was like 17 in the show but in my opinion having teenage vampires running around, (no matter how long they have actually lived) can lead to nothing but drama.

So with that being said lets get into the chapter.

Chapter 3: Meeting New Friends

Stefan's POV

Silas and I have been traveling through the woods for over 4 hours now and we're starting to get hungry. So we decided to set up camp for the night and once we did that one of us would stay at camp while the other went hunting for food. (You're probably thinking we're stupid for splitting up like that, well maybe we are but then again we're powerful witches). So after we found a good place to setup camp, we gathered a bunch of wood in order to make a campfire. We then gathered a bunch of decent sized rocks that we would use to surround the firewood in order to keep the fire from spreading outwards.

After we got the campfire setup, Silas went hunting with his hunting dagger while I stayed at the campsite. I gathered more sticks so that way we could make some type of shelter for the night. After I gathered enough sticks I used a spell that bound the sticks together in order to make a floor panel, and a roof. I layed the floor panel down on the ground next to a tree, I then leaned the roof against the tree with the hope that it would protect us from rain or any other falling projectiles. Considering there was no wind at all, the roof should stay leaning against the tree without any problems.

Just as I was finishing up Silas came back with two rabbits that he had killed. We than used a hunting knife to skin and prepare the rabbits. Once the rabbits were ready to be cooked we hung them above the campfire. When this was done, Silas used his Pyrokinesis to start the fire.

Now we're sitting around the fire waiting for the rabbits to be done, and its an awkward silence because we havent talked much since we left our village 5 hours ago.

"What are we going to do now?" I finally asked with a curious expression on my face. "We cant exactly live out here in the woods forever."

For a moment Silas said nothing, he was gazing intensely at the fire. He than looked up from the fire and stared at me before he finally said:

"We need to keep moving until we find a village and from there" He paused for a moment.

"I dont know Stefan, I just dont know." He finished with a sigh.

After that short conversation we went back to an awkward silence. I knew that we should have discussed what happened back in our village but I couldnt find the courage to initiate the conversation. It was too painful to even think about, besides we need to focus on the task at hand and that is to find a village.

A while later the rabbits were finally done cooking and were ready to be eaten. While we were eating I couldn't help but look up and stare at the stars that were shining brightly in the night sky. They were shining so bright that I couldn't help but feel hopeful for our future. I knew that despite the tragedy that we suffered today, our lives would get better and as long as we were together everything would be fine.
