Jungkook knew it was stupid of him to get his hopes up.

But here he was, working the last night shift by himself at the cafe. He'd practically begged Seokjin and Hoseok to go home first, rambling something along the lines of wanting to let his two friends rest. He'd practically driven them out the door for what, the gorgeous handsome idol he met one time?

Yes, yes he did. What he really wanted, was to see if V would come back, just once. That was it.

Time passed and only 15 minutes remained before he would need to close everything up. Jungkook sighed.

He knew his idol wasn't coming. Why would he? Jungkook had made such a fool of himself the last time, he couldn't blame the elder for being weirded out. He stood by the counter aimlessly spinning a coin from the top jar, waiting for another customer to arrive, though it was doubtful anyone would come at a time like this.

While he was one with his thoughts, the coin he was flicking accidentally rolled out of his grasp, travelling across the rough wooden countertop. It came to a stop next to a notepad used to take long customer orders and record important phone calls.

Jungkook eyed the notepad. He had always kept his thoughts in his head but for once wanted to get them out, he needed to write them down.

He reached for the notepad and a pen and clicked it rapidly as he ran his fingers over the smooth page, thinking about what to write. Something clicked in his brain and he started jotting down words on the page, every thought, every worry, everything and anything that came to his mind.

It felt oddly good to write his troubles and feelings out, rather than hold everything in the confines of his mind.

It was tiring. He didn't know what his future held, what he would do with his life after graduation. Hell, he didn't even know what job he wanted to pursue or what university programs to apply for. There were so many choices to make in such little time. Being forced to decide at his age was way too pressuring for him and he wanted to scream out of frustration. Were his grades good enough? Would he be rejected?

Jungkook knew he had to throw his dreams of making music out the window. His mother was struggling to pay the rent and didn't have the money to send the boy to school.

Jungkook loved music, he'd loved it since he was born, but trying to make a career for himself in that industry was nearly impossible. He had no connections, no time to audition and above all, no self confidence.

They say when you're young the world is your oyster, and there are limitless opportunities for you out there, but at that point, Jungkook just felt trapped, like a robot doing the same thing every day, never really heading anywhere. He felt as though he wasn't really living his own life, but rather living like a hollow shell.

All these thoughts travelled from the brunette's mind onto the page he was scribbling on. Soon enough the entirety of the page had been filled with Jungkook's scattered thoughts.

The sound of the cafe door bells jingling snapped the brunette out the mindset he was in. He quickly ripped the page out from the notepad and hastily stuffed the paper into the pocket of his apron glancing up at the old clock hanging on the wall.

It was 10 minutes before the clock would strike 10:00 so he didn't need to shoo the person out yet. He turned his attention to the door and almost choked on his own spit.

Lo and behold, there stood V once again, seeming more at ease than the first time he visited the quaint cafe.

Jungkook's life was complete. Inside, he was elated to see the blond idol again, but on the outside he had to look composed. Be cool Jungkook, he told himself, be cool.
