The sky was pitch black, giving a feeling of unknown to the fresh cool night. The lonely moon peeked out from behind thick clouds slowly floating their way across the black sea above. It was a night of more overthinking and anxiety as Taehyung walked back to the hotel for some much needed rest.
The trip to the tiny shop was much needed, he needed time to get away from the chaotic environment he was constantly immersed in. The press, the haters, and the constant, suffocating feeling of wanting to please everybody had just become too much.
It was enough to make the blond male exhale in frustration, each shaky breath of his escaping his lips and blending in with the male's dark surroundings.
As he strolled along, he couldn't help but let himself think of his experiences in the cafe with the brown haired boy, Jungkook. The boy knew who he was.
And despite that, even though the younger had known, he still never said a word to anyone about it. The blond considered himself rather lucky that it hadn't been a different employee at the coffee shop the night he first went.
If it had been anyone else, there would have been two times the regular amount of reporters he'd normally meet, all hungry for the scoop on why the perfect idol V was sneaking out of his hotel room so late at night.
Taehyung scoffed.
That word, 'perfect'. He was far from that. Yet he was supposed to be, told to be, required to be, strove to be. Giving everything his all, pushing himself to the brink of over exhaustion just to earn himself that attribute of being perfect.
And he had earned it, however not everyone would agree with that. He knew what he was seen as in the haters' eyes, in the reporter's eyes earlier that very day. He was seen as a mere wannabe, someone who tried but couldn't do it, wouldn't make it in this competitive industry.
He shouldn't have to be perfect, no one should. He just wished someone would see it like that too. Someone to see that he needed a break every now and then, to see that he was struggling inside to keep his emotions at bay. Someone that accepted him because he wasn't perfect.
For some reason that brought him back to his thoughts of the shy boy he'd just been in the presence of. Jungkook had provided him with some much needed downtime, due to his quiet nature. He was extremely quiet, but cute.
The idol halted his movements at that thought. Was that why he was acting strangely in the cafe? He quickly shook his head in denial. No, he couldn't think that way about the sweet employee, he was probably straight, or had a girlfriend...or boyfriend...
The male shook his head at that, he wasn't even allowed to date, much less another man. The company had strict rules about dating, as it was frowned upon in the industry to date, and even more disapproving for two people of the same gender to be in a relationship.
Not that Taehyung was interested or anything, no no. Just listing the reasons why he couldn't find Jungkook cute.
A few minutes passed as he once again found himself staring up at the posh hotel he was staying in, almost debating whether to go inside.
After much contemplation he did, passing through the golden revolving doors and dashing across the grand looking lobby, a hat and hood covering his mop of blond hair, a mask covering his recognizable facial features.
The idol slipped inside the elevator and made it up to his room undetected.
Or so he thought.
Taehyung entered his dark hotel room, discarding the hat, jacket and mask and faced the wall as he flipped the switch to turn on the lights. What he was not expecting was to turn around and come face to face with another person.
