Lord, please help us.
Our nation is dripping with blood.
Lord, please save us.
We're in desperate need of Love.
My people are dying,
Countless families are crying,
This Hatred is undying,
Racism is real,
There's no denying,
If this is 2020,
The future seems so horrifying.
Our Black reality is terrifying.
You get killed when you're defying
Just as much as when you're complying.
Four deaths in one month,
Is that number not too high?
Out of those four men,
All where black man that died.
Not everyone that wears a badge
Is a bad cop.
However,
When will the killing
Of innocent black men stop?
Vandalizing and destroying
businesses Is Not right.
The only way this can be effective
Is if peacefully we all fight.
In a few states,
I've seen black people
And state officials March together.
In your lifetime,
When have you ever seen that?
In mine, this is the first time ever!
Our Black reality is complex,
Our mothers are plague with stress,
They see another black man die,
They ask, "Will my child be next"?
That's the worst question
A mother should ask,
But thats our reality,
Young men dying too fast.
Not every black man's a thug,
Not every white man's racist,
Not every Mexican is illegal,
Not every cop is bad,
But we have a serious problem.
It's about time we face it.
When your black,
Spanish or brown,
When it comes to racism,
You'll surely face it.
As a black man
I sincerely hate it.
The fight goes on for
Equal rights and justice.
I know it's hard,
Because of all the injustice,
But better is coming
Let's come together and pray.
God can do in one second,
What we can't in a day.
Returning blood for
blood will never work.
Daily seeing my brothers
and sisters dying truly hurts.
I agree,
All lives matter,
Human lives matter,
Mexican lives matter,
Black lives matter,
But with so many black deaths,
What do you think our lives worth?
I blame man,
For polluting this earth,
But who gets the blame
For producing this hurt?
This is a skin issue,
But it's also a sin issue.
There's two path ahead,
To riot or to pray,
Which will you commit too?
R.i.p George Floyd,
The world and your family miss you.
Our Black reality is complex,
Filled with problems and issues.
If ever a time we needed anything,
Right now Lord,
We Need You!!By- Symour Hamilton
