" KENMA ARE YOU SURE THIS IS GOING TO WORK? " the (h/c) girl whisper yelled at her bestfriend. "i'm positive." he replied with a small nod. today was supposed to be the day you were finally going to tell kuroo what you feel, but it seems like luck wasn't on your side all day.
you tried giving him some flowers with a card attached to it, turns out he was allergic. you also tried leaving water bottles with cute little sticky notes during his volleyball practice so that he would drink it later,, well.. uh at least he drank it, right?
you let out a soft sigh wondering if you'll ever get the chance to tell him how you feel. "kenma! (y/n)!" speak of the devil, kuroo walked towards the two friends and slumped his arm on kenma. a faint blush appeared on the (h/c) girl's face as the bed-headed male in front of her gave a small smirk.
"so what are you guys planning to do later?" he asked, pushing his hair to the back.
"hm,, we're actually going to go get ice cream in a bit, wanna join us?" (y/n) asked the rooster headed boy with a small smile creeping up her face. kuroo gave a thumbs up in response, cocking his head to the side hearing his name being called by some of his teammates.
"i'll be right back!!" he waved at the two before scurrying off and disappearing out of their sight. "man never have i thought i'd see (y/n) simping THIS hard.." kenma teased with a small chuckle leaving his mouth. the girl just gave him a deadly glare and mocked the poor boy's words, earning a harsh slap on her back.
little did you know a rooster head overheard the two's little conversation and chuckled to himself.
THE SOUND OF THE BELL RINGING FILLED THE HALLS OF THE SCHOOL. students from all levels started to leave their respective rooms while (y/n) was already waiting outside for her two friends. "heeey" a voice greeted, the (h/c)ette looked to where the sound came from leading to kuroo himself. the male immediately jogged over to the girl just to pat her head.
(y/n) scrunched her face and laughed, "oh kuroo, have you seen kenma anywhere? he said he was gonna be here by now.." she mentioned, worried her best friend will (who most definitely did) ditch her.
kuroo raised his eyebrows and shook his head. "hm, now that you mentioned it he did say he was gonna go buy that new console everyone's been talking about." he sternly answered.
"do you.. still wanna go get ice cream even if it's just the two of us?" the girl questioned once more, looking a bit uneasy. the raven headed male smiled at her, "of course! did ya think i was gonna say no to you?" the two then started to walk out of the school.
they conversed about how they were doing and what they were up to lately. occasionally making jokes and laughing together, creating a very comfortable atmosphere around them.
"oh here we are!" (y/n) clasped her hands in happiness. the (h/c) girl looked through her bag to find her wallet was missing. panic immediately struck over her features as kuroo looked at her, "what's wrong (y/n)?" he asked. "i think i forgot my wallet haha!" the girl awkwardly laughed at how her wallet just dissappeared into thin air.
"don't worry i'll pay!!" the tall male reassured her taking some money out of his pocket. as he scanned the amount he started to murmur, "aghh, i swear i had some bills in my pocket.." he looked back at the (h/c) girl with a tint of embarrassment etched on his face. "looks like my money was stolen when i wasn't looking hehe" he laughed, scratching the nape of his neck.
"ah seems like you two lovebirds forgot your money, here!" the jolly voice of the ice cream vendor in front of them gave each a cone of (f/f). the pair had faint blushes on their cheeks as they thanked the man and started walked towards the nearest bench.
(y/n) decided to initiate a conversation "about earlier.." kuroo waved it off with a shy smile, "nah it's no biggie! although, i think we'd look great as a couple too." he gave her a small wink as laughed while putting his arm on her shoulder. the girl's cheeks were burning red by the boy's words.
after finishing her ice cream, the girl confessed out of nowhere"hey don't be so shocked but, i like you." her (e/c) eyes shining through the street lights. "ah i already knew that~" kuroo hummed, eyes closed with a smile smirk plastered on his face.
"WHAT?!" (y/n) yelled, shocked by the fact that her long time crush actually likes her back. "well yeah, i mean i am THE kuroo tetsuro. who wouldn't like me?" he teased, nudging her shoulder. "i mean you always put a lot of effort to give me those little gifts, it's kinda cute haha!" he continued before the (h/c)ette could say anything.
"then, i'm asking you if you could be my boyfriend!!" (y/n), with a determined heart loudly asked the boy beside her. he quickly replied, "mhm! oh but let me finish my ice cream first then i'll be your boyfriend!" the young couple laughed it off.
