"I have to see her!" I yell at Chrys.
"I can't do anything about that, Diana!" he said. It infuriates me when he calls me that, but I don't trust anyone in this hospital. So there is no way I am giving them my name.
"Is she at least alive? Tell me Adalina is alive!" I yell. Hoping.
"I don't know!" He yells back.
I slump down onto the comfy bed. After staying quietly in my prison for two days, they moved me back to my decent room yesterday. I prefer this room so much better than the old one. Actual sunlight brightens the room through a big window on the center of the wall that is opposite to the door. There are also bars on this window but they are a lot thinner and less intimidating. This room does not make me feel like I am sinking. Though, the thought of not knowing where Adalina is makes me feel ten times worse than the other room ever did.
"I know you want to know if your friend is okay, but we have some things to do. Afterwards, I promise that I will help you look for your friend... I am going to go get the supplies. I'll be right back." He said, going into the same room the black-haired lady did last time I attempted to escape.
Yeah, right. He can promise whatever, but I know it won't be true. I can't stay here.
He disappeared into the room and I took off.
I had started yelling at him as soon as he walked into my room, so he had forgotten to lock the door.
I don't even bother sticking my head out of the door. He is probably suspicious of me so he would not take long. I have to get as far as possible.
I hear footsteps.
I run faster.
I spot an open door and don't think twice.
I run into the room and close the door behind me.
Ok. Calm down. Nobody saw you. Take a deep breath.
Let's find the light switch.
I move my hand along the wall. My only light source is the dim light ascending from the narrow window above the door to the hallway.
I take a step forward but there's something in my way. It moves and I trip, falling down on top of it.
"Ow!"
I freeze.
It just spoke.
Whatever it is.
The light flicks on. I see a man laying below me reaching at the light switch I failed to find.
I stare at him unable to move from sheer shock and embarrassment.
He is handsome. He has dazzling dark green eyes. Short brown hair, perfect to run my fingers through. A chiseled face with a perfect white smile. He looked slightly older than me. Perhaps he's 22 or 23?
But age doesn't matter at our ages right? I am 19. Three years is not a big deal...
Omg! Get your mind out of the gutter! This is not the place and definitely not the time to be thinking about guys. No matter how attractive they are.
"Can you get off me?", he asks.
His voice is just as sexy as his appearance.
"Uh. Yeah..sorry." I mutter, quickly getting off of him.
I finally look around for the first time, after I've stopped daydreaming about this mystery hottie.
It seems like we are in an old storage closet. Frankly quite small. I wonder how I didn't find the light switch in the first place.
