Now, did you think it all through?

All these things will catch up to you

Lux just stood there in shock. Various thoughts and emotions flying through his mind, at the forefront was the fact that he had a daughter. He couldn't believe it, he actually had a daughter. His own flesh and blood. He didn't know how to feel. Part of him was excited to have a daughter, while part of him was sad and regretted all the missed years, and still another part of him was angry that Ahsoka had kept this from him for all this time.

He wanted to get to know his daughter, but he knew Ahsoka would never let that, and as much as he wanted to get to know his daughter, he valued his life slightly more. Maybe at some point Ahsoka would cool off and allow him to meet her, but he knew now was not the time. Maybe it would be soon, maybe it would be a few years, but he would likely have to wait. Ahsoka was not much in the mood to see him right now.

He longed to talk to her about that night, move past it, get back together. It was such a petty argument, and he regretted every moment of it, every word that slipped past his lips. A day hadn't gone by where he thought about that night and thought about how things could've been different, how they should've been.

He sighed, dwelling on it further now wouldn't change anything. He walked to the living area of the ship to try to relax. He got there and didn't see anyone. His throat was dry so he decided to get a drink out of the fridge. He opened it and saw a bottle of water. He grabbed it out, opened it and took a swig. He closed the fridge and jumped at what he saw. Carys was standing there, having appeared out of nowhere as far as Lux was concerned.

He studied her. Her lekku and facial markings were nearly identical to Ahoska's, but she had pale skin like him. She sported green eyes, a sort of mix between his greyish color and Ahsoka's bright blue. She was amazing.

"So you're the man mommy almost killed?" Carys asked breaking Lux from his study of her.

"Errrm... yes I guess so," he said with a nervous laugh.

"She says that you're a bad man, that you're one of those bad Separatists. She told me to stay away from you."

"Well I'm not a Separatist... anymore," Lux replied hesitantly. He decided to take it a step further. "Has your mother... told you anything else about me?"

"What is your name? No one has told me yet. I can't tell you if she's told me about you if I don't know your name silly," Carys said giggling.

"I... I'm Lux Bonteri."

Carys thought for a moment. "Nope. I don't think she's ever mentioned you, but I know you've met before, and are friends, or at least were until you made mommy mad."

"H-how would you know that?" Lux asked.

"Well it's simple really. You smell like her."

Lux was beyond confused. How the hell did he "smell like" Ahsoka, they hadn't even touched since he got there, and, more importantly, how would the little girl have smelled it anyways?

"I... smell like her?"

"Yea, you smell like her."

"What do you mean?"

"All of mommy's friends smell like her. Ezzy, Sabine, Zeb, Uncie Kanan, Aunty Hera, even Chopper. You do too so I know you're a friend."

Lux was still insanely confused, but it was clear the child knew no more than what she had told him. He would have to ask Ahsoka later what she meant, if she even allowed him to speak with her. On second thought, that may not be a great idea because then Ahsoka would know he talked to Carys and he wasn't sure he would like what Ahsoka had in store for him if she found out.

Noticing a lul in the conversation, Carys levitated a piece of meiloorun fruit from the counter to her hand. She took a bite of it and swallowed. Lux was shocked that his daughter was force sensitive, and had that good fo a grasp on her powers. Then again, thinking to her mother, he wasn't surprised. She was extremely powerful, and wise. She had probably started Carys at a very young age.

Lux saw the chance to change the subject and get to know his daughter better at the same time. "So you're force sensitive like your mother?" He asked.

"Yup, she says she knew before I was born that I was 'blessed', as she says, with the force. She started training me to hone my powers at a young age so I'd be able to protect myself. She didn't give me a lightsaber like the ones her, Ezzy, and Uncie Kanan have. She says they're too dangerous for someone my age."

"That's amazing. You're so young, yet you already seem to have a very good control over your poers. What else can you do with the force?" Lux was excited to see what his daughter could do.

The little girl smiled. "I can do this," she said lifting Lux up and turning him upside down.

"H-Hey! Let me down," Lux said, trying to sound assertive but couldn't keep a laugh from escaping his mouth. This was one of the greatest moments of his life. He was bonding with his daughter, even if she didn't know he was her father.

"Okay, if that's what you want," the little girl said giggling. She let go of her grip on Lux and he came crashing to the floor. He sat up and started laughing again. He hadn't noticed, but his wallet fell out of his pocket while he was being held upside down.

Carys walked over and grabbed it. She didn't know what it was, so she opened it, and something fell out. The little girl picked it up and looked at it. It was a picture of a young togruta that looked like her mother, and a younger version of the man sitting in front of her. She smiled and turned to Lux, holding up the picture.

"Mr. Lux, is this you and mommy?" Carys asked. Lux looked at the photo and froze. He wondered how she had gotten it, but then saw his wallet on the floor and knew it must've fallen out of there.

Lux took the picture from Carys and smiled, a single tear falling from his eye. "Yea it is. We were... really good friends when we were younger," Lux said sadly.

"What happened then?"

Lux didn't know how to respond, but luckily he was saved. The boy her had learned was named Ezra and the girl, Sabine, came into the room.

"Is everything alright?" Ezra asked. "We heard a yell and a bang."

Lux laughed. "Yea everything is alright, Carys was just showing me her force abilities," Lux said smiling.

"Oh alright," Sabine said. "How about you stop bothering Mr. Bonteri and let him get some rest. He must be tired. You can play with us."

"Okay!" The little girl cried out in excitement, and began to run away, but stopped. She turned and ran back to Lux, giving him a hug. Lux was in shock, but returned the hug. She broke free from the hug and ran back to an equally surprised Ezra and Sabine. The trie just turned and walked out of the room.

Lux just sat there dumbfounded, wondering why she had done that, but being glad nonetheless.
