Before you read I would like to share that this book is not for the faint of heart. Nor is it for edgy 13 year olds to say that in whatever situation presented they would be able to easily overcome it.
This book is very mature not just because of sex scenes or foul language but because of certain topics covered throughout this book extensively. If you get squeamish very easily, or blood, rape, assault, sexual assault, mentions of graphic images make you uncomfortable or trigger you I strongly suggest you refrain from reading any further. Now if you haven't watched the video quick overview/recap uhm. Basically there's these rooms on an app called Telegram where people will make rooms, like online chats where only people who get links and all that can access the rooms. Like red rooms, people will blackmail women, girls, underage, of age anyone where they'll ask for sponsors which in Korea is someone to send videos and things like that. Mature videos and photos.
They'll blackmail the women who do that, asking for more videos and more photos and in return they won't share the videos and ruin their lives which is fucked up in itself.
But it gets worse, they end up sending more videos and more photos, audios and things like that so that they don't get their lives ruined but it escalates so one day you could be sending a video of you being naked and the next you're walking into the opposite sex's bathroom and being told or more or less forced to do things. Then if the girls refused or finally freaked out and had enough they usually have no idea what the other person behind the screen is like it what they're doing with the videos, they end up being assaulted and doxxed by the people in the rooms on Telegram.
People will go to the girls' houses and assault them while recording it so that the next girl that decides she no longer wants to play that sick game gets sent those videos and asked if she wants to end up like that. So they keep doing it and it's honestly really fucked up and sad.
In the rooms there's hundreds of people who pay thousands of dollars just to see the women and girls do those things and just to see the videos. Some people have been discovered and uncovered but some are still abroad like the person who basically started it all with the username: GodGod I think.
That no where near covers the contents in that video but I do suggest you watch the video.
Moving on if you have watched the video then you know what I will be covering throughout the book and what will be discussed. So again if you are faint of heart or uncomfortable with it I totally understand if you choose to not read further.
While I do not live in Korea and can't really cover these exactly this will in turn be based in America because I live here and not Korea. Please don't get mad at me but this book was thought up very briefly but will be planned out somewhat thoroughly because I do what to make this seem as real as possible so people understand the weight of what happens to these women as well as that this is based roughly off of real events.
If you choose to read further I would like to say: Please do not say that these women deserve what they got because there's victims as young as 9 that have been victims of this shit and I really don't need someone commenting that if they hadn't done so and so then this wouldn't have happened, you think about commenting that then you wouldn't have existed if ya dad pulled out and I honestly wish he would have.
Please refrain from commenting that you would've easily been able to do so and so and so so, it sounds stupid. Just because you found out how to unlock CoolMath in middle school doesn't mean you're a hacker. Because the scenes that happen in this book would not be easily escaped by some 13 year old wattpad kid who thinks they have a black belt in karate because they know how to high kick.
Please refrain from romanticizing or glorifying what happens in this book by saying things like... Omg that's so hot like omg like he just ya know took what he wanted when he wanted it like omg so sexy like omg his toxic behavior and disgusting intentions are so fucking cute.....like sit down Bethany you just graduated elementary/primary school. Even if you're a grown adult with a clear mind that makes it even more disappointing and disgusting.
If you do so happen to have any experiences similar to sexual assault and things within that category, I hope you can cope with it now and understand that you are not what they did to you, sometimes it seems tough I know and you remember it so vividly sometimes but you are not what happens to you. Now if you're the scum of the earth bottom feeder that tries to victim blame or ask for more details, get your porn elsewhere someone's trauma is not your pornography.
Please understand that while this is a work of fiction it's based off of real events and the cover is a hint about what the book is about and a word of advice.
