~Present Time~ No One
Halla walked towards her newest school. Her seventh one since the Incident five years ago. She scolded herself, 'Way, to bring up good memories, Halla.'
She recalled what her social worker had told her in the car, "Halla. You can't mess this up! It's the last school that will take you. Please, try not burning the teachers again." Halla had rolled her eyes then, but now she really wished for the quirky lady to be here.
She trained her eyes on the ground, as to not draw attention, but fate just loves her. As she fell deeper into her thoughts she hit something hard.
"Watch where your going, Normie!" Halla looked up at the challenge. She smirked and sparked a flame in her hand, "Watch who you're calling Normie, or it might just come back and... burn you."
She willed the flame to fly up further and laughed when the person jumped. She didn't enjoy scaring people, but something about the girl just, twisted her in the wrong way.
Maybe it was the insult. Or maybe even the condescending tone she used. Whatever it was Halla didn't like it.
~Vera~
I stared in shock at the powerful Blade. She was both powerful and snarky. I smiled and jogged to catch up with her.
"Hey! Normie!" The girl gritted her teeth, causing me to smirk, "The name's Vera. Vera Clearwater." I watched closely for the reaction that was sure to come.
The name Clearwater itself was a legend. My deceased mother was a famous Blade. And my father still is the richest Blade there is. And I am the first pure Blade.
"Tell me why the Metallica I would care?" My eyes widened. How could she not know!? "Don't you know who I am?" She stopped and glared at me.
"Look, Terra-" I cut her off annoyed, "Vera." She sighed, "Look, Vera. I neither know, nor care who you are." I glared at her, done with her snark.
"Fine. Can I m at least get the name of my new worst nightmare?" She snorted, "I'm flattered. And my name is Halla. Now leave me alone."
I huffed and walked away from the infuriating girl.
