"I'll take any payment for this kitty! He isn't 'fixed' so you all can do whatever you want to him!" A man yelled, tapping on a cage where an innocent boy with ears and a tail like a cat was sitting in, looking terrified. People began to bet on the poor guy, the money value raising up over to a million dollars. Suddenly, a certain blondie came out from the crowd and raised his hand. "I'll bet 3 million dollars." He said, and the room fell silent. Even the man who was making the bet looked shocked. "W--well, is there anyone who wants to bet higher?" He stuttered out, looking around. Everyone shook their head. "T--then he's all yours." The man said.
After the one who betted 3 million dollars paid for his bet, he looked at the cage where it kept the raven haired male neko inside. "Hello..." the blondie said softly with a smile. The neko frowned upon him and cowered into a corner, his tail wrapped around one of his legs. The blondie kneeled down softly in front of the cage with the smile still on his face. "Don't be scared... I'm Grian. What's your name?" He asked softly. The neko sniffed him from afar before slowly crawling towards him, even if he was in a small cage. "T..Taurtis.." he answered softly. Another male walked up to them and Grian stood up while Taurtis cowered back into a corner. "Here's the key to the cage." He blankly said and dropped the key into Grian's hands, walking away. Grian then looked back at the cage and kneeled down in front of the door, unlocking it. Taurtis flinched and his ears pinned back against his head after the metal door make a squeaky noise.
"Sorry... lets get you out of here." Grian said with a smile. He moved out of the way to let Taurtis out, which the neko was very hesitant to do. Grian took off his red hoodie and handed it to Taurtis, who just gave him a confused look. "What? Do you know how to put it on?" Grian asked. The neko just shook his head. Grian chuckled softly before asking Taurtis to hold his arms up, which the darker skinned male obeyed. Grian helped put the hoodie on Taurtis, chuckling softly afterwards as the neko instantly cuddled into the warmth of it. "Lets go home." Grian said as he grabbed Taurtis' hand softly and leaned him outside, to his car, then drove home.
Once they made it, Taurtis was amazed by how big Grian's house was. Grian was a billionaire that owned a few construction companies afterall. Grian looked at Taurtis with a amused look at the neko stared up at the roof, still in awe by how tall it was. "This is your new home, bud." Grian said with a smile before taking Taurtis inside, locking his car with a simple click of a button from the car keys. "I--I live here?" Taurtis asked, his cat ears pinned to his head and his tail swayed a little. Grian nodded, "mhm. Now.. I uh kinda didn't know what type of food I had to buy you since I was actually planning on adopting you for a while now" the blondie admitted embarrassingly, rubbing the back of his head softly. Taurtis looked at him and smiled, "I eat the same food you humans eat." He said.
Grian nodded. "Good. That's good to know." He said before walking away, "I'm going to make dinner. You can sit on the couch if you'd like." He asked before disappearing behind a wall. So Taurtis did exactly what Grian suggested and say on the couch, sitting on his knees with his hands tucked in between his legs. His tail swayed back and forth calmly, his ears and nose twitched every now and then by the new noises and smells that overwhelmed him, but needless to say, he liked it here.
After about 20 minutes or so, Grian came back holding two plates of food. "I've decided making breakfast for dinner was faster and easier, so here." He said to Taurtis, handing him a plate. Taurtis carefully held it and stared down at the delicious looking food, basically beginning to drool at the sight of it. Grian handed him a fork before sitting next to him on the couch, a small smile on his face. Taurtis poked the egg softly on his plate and carefully lifted it up, taking a small bite out of it. He instantly enjoyed the taste of it and began to eat it all, a bit surprised by the yolk spilling out and nearly everywhere on his plate and Grian's hoodie that he still wore. Grian just silently ate besides him, amused by the neko's small reactions to the new tastes.
After a few minutes, they finished eating. Grian laid back softly and yawned quietly, looking at the time. 8:25 pm. 'Sheesh. That late already?' He asked himself before looking at Taurtis. Taurtis barely could keep himself awake, poor guy was trying to stay sitting up but his eyes were feeling heavy with tiredness. Grian smiled a bit at the sight and patted the spot next to him on the sofa, which Taurtis looked. "You can sleep with me. I plan on sleeping on the couch anyways." Grian admitted with a smile. Taurtis smiled back and crawled towards Grian, his tail standing up slightly. The neko then made himself comfortable and cuddled himself against Grian, soon purring afterwards. Grian felt his face grow hot slowly but he smiled, pressed a button on the sofa to turn the lights off, and fell asleep with Taurtis.
