Chap 1: New School

My alarm kept ringing until I snapped awake, I groaned checking the time 6:45 I sprang up from the bed, I can't be late to school on my first day. Yes I'd been transferred to my stepsister's school Regal academy High School . I quickly took a bath and put on my perfectly iron uniform, by the time I was done Suchima (stepsister) had already left for school and I cursed under my breath.

"Adah come let me drop you at school since I have to pick up something from the office" my dad said, I gave him a grateful smile before following him to the car

The ride was silent, no one spoke, eversince my mom died dad and I never had a father-daughter time, he always drowned himself in work hardly paying attention to me. I got to school at 7:42, I'm sure assembly would have been over by now. I bid my dad goodbye and rushed into the building, it was a huge and expensive school meant for rich kids.

I slowed down my pace once I got inside, I began to feel nervous and I didn't know which way to go and I couldn't ask for directions because there were hardly anyone here until I saw a junior walking past me

"Hi! Excuse me, could you please direct me to SS2A" I asked him

"Ok senior follow me, my sister is in the same class" he said smiling, he should be in JSS1 considering his small height.

He led me to the class and luckily the teacher wasn't here yet

"Bye!" he waved and I waved back

I took a deep breath and stepped into the classroom, suddenly silence and all eyes were on me, this was one thing I hate being, the center of attention. I spotted an empty seat in the second row and sat down

Ehh yes but that goodie tissue type

This one will become one of Stephanie's slaves

I wonder who this Stephanie was and please I'm not going to be anyone's slave. Suddenly a girl cat walked into the class with her minoins behind her, and by her manner I could tell she was the queen bee of the class

"Hey you! The one with the glasses" she called

"Me?"

"Yes you! who else wears glasses in this class" she said rudely

"That's my seat so get lost" she commanded

Ok that's really mean

"What's your name?" I asked nicely

"What's that suppose to mean?" she asked confused

"Your name?" I asked again hiding my impatience

"Stephanie" one of her minoins replied

I looked under the locker and seat

"Sorry but I don't see the name Stephanie written here" I replied nicely and the whole class erupted with laughter. Before she could say anything a girl walked in

"Nice sweetie" she commented me and sat next to me

"Hi I'm Amaka, and if you're an enemy of her then you're my friend" she said as we shook hands

I like her

" Adah"

Before she could respond a male teacher walked into the class

"Good morning students, sit down please"

"Any new student please stand up and introduce yourself"

I hesitately stood up

"Umm my name is Adah Agozi, I'm an art student and I hope we get along just fine"

The teacher gave me a friendly smile

"Well my name is Mr Ade Peters and I am your English teacher, you may sit down" he said and faced the topic of the day

Just then a boy strolled in not caring a teacher was in class

"Princewill why are you coming now?" Mr Ade asked not impressed with his lateness

"I overslept" he answered nonchalantly and went to his seat
I must admit he was really handsome with that sharp jawline, brown fair skin and deep brown eyes, our eyes met and I quickly diverted my eyes back to the board.

Soon the bell was rung for the next period which was electives and I was having government and Amaka, physics. I waved her goodbye and went to SS2B where government was taken. I greeted the teacher and made my way to the front seat

"Morning class"

"So today we'll start with a short test, ten questions, let me know how many of you read your books" the class groaned loudly and I just sat there

Gosh what if I've never come across some questions

He copied the questions on the board and surprisingly the questions were easy and simple

"Pens up, now exchange your papers"

I exchanged mine with a girl sitting in the second row. Once we were done exchanging he wrote the answers on the board

Yes! I got all answers correct
I mentally praised myself

"5/10 stand up" six students stood up

"6/10" two students stood up

"7/10" no one stood up

"8/10" no one stood up

"9/10" still no one

"10/10" I stood up

A smirk played on the teachers lips as he folded his arms

"Looks like you have a competitor Princewill" he said

I turned behind me and saw the same guy in English class

Hmm handsome and smart, double bonus

"By the way I've never seen you before, what's your name?" the teacher asked

"My name is Adah Agozi" I answered

"Good and keep up the good grades, I believe you're smarter than him, you may sit"

I turned to princewill and he smirked at me, I faced the board as the teacher started his teaching.
