Highschool Love Story [ON-HOLD]

Chap 15: Game Time

Oops! Almost forgot, note that I changed the name of Adah's school to 'Regal Academy High' (don't judge, everyone loves a particular cartoon).

Today was Friday, day of the tournament, Regal Academy High vs Royal Academy High. From what I've heard, Royal academy seems to be an unbeatable school and had never lost a match, but I believe our school will win, of course with Princewill on our team, I've seen his passion for basketball, I've watched him practice alot, so I don't think we are losing this game.

"All SS2s, 3s and only players from SS1 move to the bus now" the vice principal announced on the podium to the assembled students in the hall. There were alot of groaning, whining and cheering from the students

The other junior students made their way out of the hall to their various classes while the rest of us made our way to the buses outside

"Where is Princewill?" I asked Mike who was entering the bus

"I don't know o, he should be here by now" he says checking his wrist watch

"He's coming" Amaka said pointing at a particular direction

"Sorry I'm late" he apologized breathing heavily like he ran a marathon

Once everyone was settled in the bus, we drove out. Through out the ride, Princewill had been quiet, not speaking once until he was asked a question, he seemed to be deep in thought

"You ok?" I placed my hand on his thighs, that brought him back to reality

"Yeah, I am" he answered

"You've been unusually quiet since today" I say retreating my hand and leaning back into the chair staring at him

"Don't worry, I'm just a bit nervous that's all" he says with a small smile, fiddling with his bag straps.

I was about to say something but stopped when we arrived at Royal High, the school was huge no doubt, almost the same as ours but also had the royal attitude in it especially the painting, if you know what I mean. A few senior students from the school were already outside, probably to show us around the school, dressed in their royal blue uniform, blue checked skirt and trouser, white dress shirt, blue striped tie and deep blue blazers, and of course high black stockings and black shoes. Their uniform was quite similar to ours, except ours was red, the only difference was the badge

Funny facts guys, the owner of Royal high was actually the owner of our school, he transferred the ownership to his first son years back while focusing more attention on the Royals.

We got down from bus one by one, exchanging pleasantries with the Royals

"Hi" I shook hands with one of the boys, tall, dark skinned and handsome, with a million dollar smirk plastered on his face

Oh wow! But no offense, Princewill is number one on my list

"Hello beautiful, welcome to Royal academy, I'm Nathan" he winks at me, his hand still lingering in mine

"Yeah yeah, you don't need to flirt with her" Princewill say pulling me away from him

"Cos chill nau, I didn't know she's your babe" Nathan raises his hands up in surrender

"You two are cousins?" I asked totally ignoring his last statement

"Yeah, the greatest cousin in his life"

"More like most annoying cousin in my life" Princewill growled

"Nath!" Mike exclaims giving him a bro hug

"Sup men?" Danny does the same

"I'm good guys" He says and they did that fist bump thingy, they look pretty close

"I see you've met my baby" Danny says hugging me from behind, side glancing at a scowling Princewill and surprisingly Cynthia who just joined us now

"Oh and I thought she was Will's babe" I unwrapped his arms from me went in with my girlfriends

"Omg, isn't he the cutest" Amaka gushed as she waved at Nathan and I rolled my eyes

"Yeah, he's so fine" Janet chirped and Cynthia laughed

"I thought you and Mike have something going on?" I ask and she flushed

"Says who?" she asks nonchalantly

"No need to pretend, we know you like him" Cynthia says and we laughed at Janet's embarrassed face

Me and the girls got front row seats while the players prepared for the game, meanwhile we were entertained with some performances and a dance off by the cheerleaders, our school and Royal's. I was reading a book on Wattpad on my phone, when I saw a boy sneak up to the seat behind me and sat down, my eyes widened when I recognized him

"Andrew?" I called his name and he jumped

"What are you doing here?"

"Hehe, funny story" he scratched the back of his head

The boy was in Jss2 and if any of our school teachers find him here, it won't be good

"I really wanted to watch the game, please don't tell anyone" he pouted, I chuckled, he was so adorable when he does that

Truth is, the kid loves basketball like crazy, he was a good player, though he was short, he never misses a basket, I've watched him play before, every time I make it to school early, I watch him play alone, I was he's only audience

"Come here cutie" I say pinching his cheek

"Ow! Seriously?! I'm not cute" he frowns and I found it more adorable

The game started immediately, Royal Academy players making their way into the court in their blue and white jersey, and next Regal Academy in their red and white jersey, I noticed Princewill wasn't among them, or maybe he was benched for later. The game began and let me tell you few minutes into the game the Royals were already beating us

WHAT?!

No lie, they were good, heck better than I even imagined, they scored again 2-6

2-6 for fucking crying out loud!!

Where the hell is Princewill?!

I had to stand on my chair to see where the benched players sat and there was no sign of him

"Janet please watch my seat I'll be right back"

I squeezed through the wall of jumping bodies and made my way down, there I saw two royal students blocking the way out, I recognized one as Nathan

"No one is allowed to pass" the other boy said,

"Nathan, where is Princewill?" I asked ignoring the other

"I think maybe he's in the locker room" he says leading me there

"Thanks"

"Anything for you beautiful" he winks and walk back to his post

This boy eh?!

I open the door and

Are you fucking kidding me?!
