So hey guys, I Know most of you are really mad at me for this super late update, it's sooo unlike me, but things haven't really been going well and I'm really getting stressed with school work and unexpectedly falling ill on the day I decided to update. Yep, it was really serious and I had a drip attached to my hand. But not to worry, I'm completely fine now and no longer on a drip so that's why I decided to update today. I have a LOT of school work to catch up on, I might update next week, not making any promises though
Enjoy💋

Grandma and I were sitted having lunch, her famous Ofe Akwụ with white rice, laughing and joking around until she suddenly asked
"Have you visited your brother's grave?" I dropped my spoon slowly and shook my head
"When are you even planning to?" She asked
"I-i don't think I can handle it, I did try going there once but I ended up breaking down" I said quietly sipping my water, thinking about my brother always tightened my chest
"Why don't we both go?" Grandma suggested looking at me with hopeful eyes, I sighed and nodded
"Alright hurry up and let's go" she said
We arrived at the cemetery half an hour later. With flowers in our hands, we walked over to Samuel's grave. Tears pricked my eyes as I read the words DEARLY BELOVED SAMUEL IKECHUKWU inscribed on the grave stone
I felt my grandma's hand on my shoulder as we placed the flowers on the grave
"I'll leave you two alone" she said softly giving my back a little rub before leaving.
I fell on my knees breaking down into sobs, it still hurt, so bad as memories of the time we use to have together rephrased back into my head. I missed him so much, Samuel's death really had a great effect on me, it felt like a part of my soul was ripped off, leaving an empty void there.
No one could understand the feeling of living in a big house with a mother and a father but only had a brother as your only family, being taken away from you.
"Why did you leave me all alone Sam? Why? Did you forget your promise that we would never separate no matter how far we go?" I sobbed harder, my nails digging into the earth
"Father is so ignorant and cruel, and mom doesn't even care, it's torture without you Sam, that place is a hellhole, what happened to brothers got each other's back? You left me alone to suffer" I dugged my fingers deeper into the earth, biting my lips enough to draw out blood
Suddenly warm and soft arms engulfed me in a tight hug stopping me from doing what I was doing, her lavender scent filling my nostrils and calming my racing mind
"Stop! Hurting yourself won't do you any good" I felt wetness on my neck, she was crying, I wrapped my arms around her and we stayed like that silently crying out our pain.
¶~~¶
We were out of the cemetery and walking down the street quietly, we hadn't spoken a word to eachother ever since. I had called my grandma and told her to go home that I would be a little late.
"Thanks" I muttered not able to deal with the silence anymore
"Hmm" was her only response as we continued our peaceful walk
