The water was steamy between and surrounding the two gentlemen. They sat in silence allowing it to speak volumes of things they could not say aloud. Though they were spaced 5 feet apart in fear of being ridiculed for being of the homosexual nature, each man longed to be closer. Because though they were in fact not gay, their manly-ness would not allow for strangers to see them as otherwise. So they sat, pondering what could have been.
