ONE SHOTS: RANDOM

Rejection

Summer was the crowned season in the year. Inside of a wide mall waited a maiden, she glance sidewards while standing near a store. She seems to be waiting for someone and then again she look sideways patiently. A young teenager (boy) was walking nearer and nearer towards her. When the young man finally came into halt in front of her, her expression became into excitement...

"I thought you'd never come?!" She said to him with sweetness

He just smiled and Maddie grab his hand and drag him somewhere so they could start their day now... Daniel couldn't widthraw his hand for thou he thought that if he did, he surely knew Maddie would be offended.

Maddie brought him to a cafe and they sat outside to feel the day while looking at the city's view. They sat on a table, for couple's. But actually, Daniel wouldn't came but he did only for a reason.

Maddie was too excited that she didn't notice how Daniel react to this. Once their order have arrived Maddie started to talk of all of a sudden.

"After this, we'll be heading on the cenimas!" Maddie said smiling and her lips became very stiff.

"I can't!" Daniel said with an awful look

"I beg your pardon?" Maddie ask imdiately thought she heard it wrong.

"Honestly, I don't want to show up... but ... I came here because for one reason... I WANT TO TALK TO YOU PERSONALLY! " Daniel said directly and Maddie sat there motionless like she knows where this conversation leads

Maddie came to her sense and she bow a little "What do you want to talk to me about?" she ask.

"It's about you, Maddie... I wish you could understand... I can't... I can't accept your affection thou it will become a burden if I did. Futhermore, you can't force your feelings to a person who can't even take care of it... you'll suffer if you did. I know you're seeking chances in every ways but it's not given always as you please. It's only given if it meant to be... I came here to tell you that I can't accept the affection you've felt for me because, thought that maybe you think I'm worth your efforts but in reality I'm not... you could have someone better and repay you in the same way you gave!" Daniel said honestly

Maddie was speechless to hears Daniel's rejection. She thought for a moment then she look up at Daniel's face, and he saw her watery eyes...

"Is it just me or you like someone else?" Maddie ask while she kepts on keeping her tears not to fall

"And if I tell you I did?... would you believe?" Daniel ask her coldly

Maddie shake her head slowly "Aren't you too cold to like someone?" Maddie ask him in panicked

Daniel didn't speak for 7 seconds. "I thought you know me?... you kept on saying to everyone that you know me better that they do!... so how come you don't know?" Daniel said prankly

Maddie shook her head and couldn't think of what to say...

"It's fine if you don't want to tell me!... it never occur to me how will you explain it! " she heard Daniel spoke while she was bowing down

Maddie look up and Daniel stand and walk pass to where he sat a while ago and halted beside Maddie who was staring out of nowhere. "A friendly reminder: do not force someone to stay if they insist on going!... like wise in the future, Maddison!" he lowered his voice so that only Maddie could hear him speak and he walk out at the door like there's nothing had happened... Maddie remain there, sitting alone... motionless like a statue.
