Chapter 19 New Year's EVE ••part 2••

"No" I said with a cold tone. "Geez..just a little lip stick. Wendy even agreed with that!" Lucy whined. "You made me wear a dress, fixed up my hair in a very fancy way..that's enough" I said with the same tone. "Just a light lip stick!!" She said.

We've been going on like this for about 15 minutes already. I sighed a very deep sigh and told her "you wont get no for an answer will you?" She nodded. I sighed again and told her "fine. But just a light color" she smiled while nodding her head. "Yes!" She said.

Erza and Wendy chuckled at the both of us while Carla was telling that we will be late if we dont move faster. I think the others are already there

~later on~
~still YOUR POV~

Me and Lucy are FINALLY leaving her house. That girl was very persistent in putting make up on me. Erza already left with Carla and Wendy so it was just the both of us. While walking there, Lucy asks me something that makes me freeze for a second.

"So (Y/N), do you like anybody yet?" Lucy asks. I look at her and tilt my head before replying. "What do you mean by like?" I asked. She sweat dropped and answered "Like 'like' kind of like." I got now what she meant, "You mean love like or crush like?" I asked.

"Yeah!" She agreed. "Hmm, well, no. I don't really have those kind of feelings." I answered with a shrug. "None at all? As in nothing, zero percent?" She asked, making sure.

"None at all. Why do you ask? Do you like someone at our guild?" I asked, already knowing the obvious answer. "Uhm...haha, maybe?..." She said, stuttering. "And you're not gonna tell?" I pushed on. "It's Natsu, ok?" She said. I chuckled a little, "its obvious"

I take small glances of her while walking towards the guild. 'Why do I feel a little sad? Must be nothing. I can't be sad that Lucy likes Natsu anyway.' I think to myself before a reminder crosses my mind. 'I can't love with a cursed heart. I have no space for love. Because everyone I learn to love disappears anyway.' I continued to drown deeper into my thoughts until Lucy spoke.

"Hey (Y/N), if you ever start to even think you like Natsu, can you please tell me?" She asked. "Sure, ok." I answered, not really getting why. "AND DON'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS CONVERSATION!!!" She whisper-shouted, a little tint of pink on her cheeks. "Ok, ok. Just shut up." I answered, a little annoyed because this woman is freaking loud. "Hehe, sorry...." she said, scratching her neck.

~Time skip~
~ still YOUR POV~

Lucy and I are now standing at the doors that led to the back of the guild. We look at each other before pushing the door open. Lucy jumps up and down in excitement.

"(Y/N)! Look at all the decorations! It's so beautiful!!! Wait, where's the team?" She asks after squealing. I look around before I spot the others at a table. "Over there." I say and start walking towards them. Lucy squeals again when she sees Natsu.

"Oh good lord, he is wearing a suit! But of course, he still has the scarf." She whispers into my ears quiet enough that not even Natsu's ears can hear. When we finally get to the table is when they first noticed us. Well, actually it's when the whole guild even realizes we have finally arrived.

"It's Lucy and (Y/N)! What took you guys so long?" Wendy asks. Before Lucy can reply, I decided to tease her a little.

"This damsel in distress tried and failed to put lipstick on me along with really thick mascara. She even attempted to sneak up behind me." I scoffed. "Heyyy!!" She said with air spoofing out of her ears. {lol, that actually sounded funny}
