"Cato,"Clove shakes me,"we need to get ready."
"Okay." My voice sounds hoarse.
"Hurry up!" She complains.
"I'm coming! I'm coming." I wave my hand to make her go away.
Don't get me wrong I love her but I love sleep too. Clove rolls her eyes and goes to stand behind a tree. She stands there then a girl comes out of the cornucopia. I stand up to kill her but Clove tells me to sit down again.
"Why?" I whine.
"Let her go. She isn't the threat right now."
"But I wa-" she shushes me.
"Shh. If Thresh comes,come help me." And she sprints off to get Katniss.
They get in a skirmish but Clove wins quickly. She starts to taunt her and I figure she's okay so I go to get water at the nearby creek. Soon I hear her screaming my name.
"Clove! I'm coming Clove!" I start to sprint to her.
When I get there she is on the ground. Her chest rising and falling the slightest bit.
"Please Clove. Forgive me. I'm so sorry. I'm so sor-"
"Cato. I love you. I always will." She says.
"Promise me something." She whispers.
"Anything." I say a tear dripping down from my cheek.
"Promise me you'll promise me?" She smiles.
"I promise you I'll promise you." I cry.
"Promise me you'll win. Promise me you will move on. And most of all promise me you will protect Elm." She silently cries.
"I promise." I kiss her cheek and a canon goes off.
"I love you." I say.
I run off in the woods the way is saw Fire Girl go. These games are going to end soon.
"I'm coming Elm. I'll get you out of that Hell hole. For Clove."
