I am searching for the biggest person in this arena. How can he be so hard to find. I am trudging in the long grass ready to kill anything that pounces on me. When I'm about to call it a night I notice a figure in the distance. I creep up on it then slam my sword into its side. Thresh screams and I slam him agains a rock. His scream was low pitched and long.
"I'm sorry. But you killed her and I will never forgive you for that." I say.
"Please do it quick." He pleads.
"No. You killed Clove slow I will kill you slowly." I say sternly.
"No! I'm sorry please. Do it quick! I beg of you." He cries.
I drag him to a tree and tie him up. It took a while to do so because he was so big and strong. When the rope was secure I started to use the knives that Clove left in our backpack. I stuck one in his arm and he cried out in pain. I took another and put it in the other arm. I kept doing this until there was no more room for knifes. I then did the same to his legs. Those with spears though.
Thresh is sobbing his eyes out on this tree,"Please. I'm hurting and dying. Kill me now."
"No. You are staying here until you die. Bye Thresh." I spit in his face then run off. It feels good to have done this.
I work my way through trees and jump over rocks and logs looking for a redhead girl. A canon fires telling me Thresh has died. When I see a flash out of the corner of my left eye I put on a crooked smile.
"I'm coming for you!" I yell. I turn and start to run.
I can go home. I'm so close,I think.
I keep running until I see her up in a tree. No not this again. I will kill her today. I take my spear out of my sword scabbard. I position to throw it. I throw it high up in the trees and it hits the side of her head not killing her. She lets out a scream as she falls from the tree. When she hits the ground I rush over to her.
"What's ur name?" I ask.
"Elm." She responds closing her eyes.
No. No. Her name can't be Elm. She's lying. She knows that Clove's baby sister's name is Elm. She's taunting me trying to make me give her mercy.
"Well I am going to kill you know,Elm so I can go home and protect Clove's baby sister Elm." I say sweetly messing with her brain.
"Will it...be...quick." She pants because her fall was really hard.
"Yes." I whisper bringing my sword down into her chest.
The canon booms and I look up. I won. For Clove. For Elm. I won. Not for me.
Claudius Templesmith begins to announce my victory,"Ladies and gentlemen may I present to you the winner of the seventy fourth Hunger Games,Cato, district two!"
