The following day, Al got an early breakfast, wanting to enjoy the quietness of the morning before she spent the day up in the hospital wing with Harry. Two owls landed in front of her: one with the Daily Prophet, and one with a large, handsome envelope, addressed to her. Al glanced at the front page of the newspaper before casting it aside to read later. There wasn't anything new - two more dementor attacks and a minor muggle politician went missing.

Al now opened the envelope, which was so thick it felt more like cardboard than parchment. Inside were just over thirty glossy, moving photos. Al smiled at the top one, which was of her and George kissing under the mistletoe headband, before putting them back in the envelope, grabbing the newspaper, and heading up to the hospital wing to see Harry.

He and Ron were awake and sat up in bed eating breakfast when she arrived, with Hermione sat in between them eating a piece of toast. "Morning, Hermione," she said brightly, sitting in the chair next to her. Then, checking Pomfrey was out of ear shot, she turned to the other two, "Morning idiots."

"Hey!" Harry and Ron both said, but Al was already looking at the photos again.

"Can I have a read of the Prophet?" Hermione asked.

"Yeah, but there's nothing interesting," Al said, not looking up. She flicked through the pictures, laughing at her favourites. There was one of Bill and Fleur snuggled by the fire, which Al put to one side to send off to them. There were the group shots of her smiling with a few other people: Lupin and Harry, George, Fleur. Al put one with only Weasleys in it to one side to send to Molly. One picture had everyone leaping back and into each other in the middle of a game of exploding snap, and there was an excellent shot of Fred and George degnoming the garden in the snow by hammer throwing gnomes over the hedge. The funniest one was a portrait shot of Percy trying to get parsnip off his glasses, but really just smearing it even more.

"Who took that?" she said, holding it up and making Ron spit pumpkin juice everywhere. Al performed a silent tergeo, and the orange gunk disappeared.

"It must've been Fred or George," he said, still laughing at Percy's disgruntled look.

"Or both," Harry suggested, making them all laugh.

Al arrived to her usual lesson that afternoon with Dumbledore in the Charms classroom, albeit a little reluctantly, because Harry had just woken up. Nevertheless, she went along after lunch, and was not surprised to see that the desks had been moved to the side. "You should feel right at home today, Al," Dumbledore said to her, "We're duelling."

Al stopped short in the centre of the room, surprise flitting through her. "You-you want me to duel you?" she asked, unable to feel relaxed in any way.

"I believe that the shock Harry's given you this weekend will give you the strength you need to gather your full control," Dumbledore said calmly, "And I would like to test you. I only want you to use your soul power."

"Alright," Al said hesitantly, drawing her wand, "You can count us in."

"Bow," Dumbledore called, "And one, two, three!" The white flames came with ease now, and she guided them to snake around Dumbledore, and branch off to block any curses. The only problem, was they didn't move quite as quickly as Al's wand, so she still had to jump out the way of the rainbow of spells that Dumbledore sent her way.

She supposed she'd been lulled into a false sense of security, what with his age, but he was still an excellent duellist, probably the best Al had ever seen. Without her soul power, she didn't think she'd be able to win against him, ever.
