It was raining heavily outside. The sky a dull shade of grey that encased Springfield in darkness. The rain pittering on the roof, echoing around the house that they two boys lived in. Not much that they could do in this weather but they would always try and keep themselves busy.
Sam (Gigi) was sitting at the table sewing a garment for an upcoming theatre performance that was proving more than difficult. It was a Victorian dress with a large skirt and a frilled collar. He had been working on this all day, not paying much attention to his boyfriend or cat. He was fully focused. Sams frustrations were building up quickly. He couldn't get the needle to catch the thread until he was brought to a stop by an unfortunate accident.
'Agh shit' he exclaimed as he pricked his finger on a needle.
Cody (crystal) was watching TV when he heard his boyfriend cry out.
Cody never liked seeing Sam in pain. It just didn't sit right with him so when he heard his boyfriend cry out, he immediately got up to see what was wrong.
' Hey Sammy, what's happened?' Cody asked, trying to bring up the mood in the room.
' I'm useless, I can't get the needle to pick up the thread and it's driving me insane. I just can't do it. I've been sewing my whole life. I should at least be able to do this but no, once again I suck.I give up Cody. I give up' Sam broke down and began to get up to walk away when Cody stopped him.
With Sam's hands in his, Cody began to speak ' You aren't useless Sam. Don't ever think that again. You are beautiful, you are bold and you are talented' Going on this rant made Cody begin to cry. Through the sniffles, he continued. ' I will not have any partner of mine say that he's not good enough or that he's useless because I don't like liars and that Samuel Geggie was a huge lie.' Pointing to the garments in the wardrobe he carried on ' everything in there you made. You designed and you executed perfectly. You are so talented and you some how don't see it! Please Sam, carry on, you will get it soon, I promise'
By the end of the pep talk, both boys were in floods of tears, their cheeks stained with tear marks. To comfort each other Sam opened his arms to Cody and they entered into a warm embrace.
Sam couldn't muster much but what he did say was enough. ' I love you Cody'. He learnt forward and kissed his partner on the lips whilst his fingers played with his mullet.
Sam didn't return to the garment that night. Instead he focused on what really mattered and that was Cody and Tic Tac. All night they sat and watched tv. Nothing much was said that night but nothing needed to be said. It was just perfect. They both knew they'd be all right if they had eachother. And that was something they weren't ever going to give up.
