Jennie's POV*

"Yah babe! Hurry up!" I shouted to Lisa from downstairs.

It's our 4 anniversary tonight. She made the plans this time since I came up with the previous one.

"Coming princess! Mianhe!" She came running down making Kuma barking, following behind.

"Yah Kuma shh!" She said and approached me.

"Sorry baby. I'm all set. Kajja."

It was a simple night worth remembering. Lisa took me to an arcade while we played together and with her showing off most of the time. Lisa never fails to put a smile on my face. And I hope she never will.

The random thought of losing her just scares me. And that's how I know how much I love this monkey in front of me right now.

"So babe!" I snapped from my train of thoughts. "Are you hungry yet?" We walked out the arcade.

"No I ate early dinner awhile ago."

"Hmm so where do you wanna head to next?" She asked wrapping an arm around me.

"Can we just get a few drink at the bar?" I suggested intertwining our fingers together.

"Are you sure?" She asked one last time and I nod putting my gummy smile.

Screaming, but happy people were present to this new club we decided to went to. I looked up to Lisa smiling, amazed by the place already.

She kissed my forehead excitedly and pulled me to the bar.

All I remembered was the music with vibes worth dancing to and Lisa and I sharing shots, drinking widely together.

I didn't bother to worry because I knew Lisa had a strong tolerance for alcohol and she'd take care of me but no I wasn't drunk.

Just as I thought of how amazing my night with Lisa was going, a similar scene entered my mind when a hand slipped onto my back.

"I knew I recognised you baby."

I turned back to see the same face I was disgusted at.

"Ahh and Ofc your still with her." He took his hand of me and sighed to spot Lisa.

"Yah wasn't the last time enough? Want to get an ass beating again because your mama didn't do that enough for you when you were younger?" Lisa was ready to throw hands.

"Oh come on. No ones in trouble if you just share your pretty girl with me." He licked his lips and tried grabbing me again.

I pushed him away more disgusted than frightened at this point. Once again the witnesses try to deal with him to get lost.

"Hey buddy, come on, just leave the couple alone." The barista tapped him.

He frowned and didn't care.

Now you really got a problem.

Lisa wrapped her hand on his neck and slams his head to the counter. He stumbles into the chairs behind him. Lisa stood tall and just as she was about to pick him up, another man grabbed her and lifted her off her feet.

"Let go off me you bastard!" The guy threw her into the tables.

I gasp and try to approach her when they started kicking and punching her. The people around helped Lisa and got rid of the guys by threatening to call the cops.

I quickly squat to check on Lisa.

As much as the passers by helped, she was already badly injured.

"Lili. Hey baby." I worriedly tapped her blood full cheeks and rested her head on my lap.

"Ugh Nini, mianhe." She grunts.

"No it's ok baby. The ambulance is coming just hold on Yea?" I smiled softly and kissed her not so bloody forehead.

"Good evening. Uh Ms Jennie?" The doctor bowed.

"Yes that's me. Good evening too doctor." I did the same.

It's past 2 in the morning. But I was allowed to stay just this night because we reached an hour ago and the doctor hasn't spoken to me yet.

"Lisa," he turned to her. "Your body is strong. Which is an advantage for you... Your knuckles aren't that badly hurt but you'll have to keep them wrapped up till the Nurses take it off before you leave in a day or two. You've only suffered from internal bleeding and a few bruised ribs. You are a bit concussed from the impact your head took in the fight but you should be well by tomorrow. The internal bleeding isn't so severe so you should be healed in a few days. I'll be giving you painkillers for both your head and the bleeding partnered with another few pills to quicken the stop of your internal bleeding. As for your ribs I'll tell the nurse to give you ointment with another gauze in case you may still want it wrapped up." He smiled and I bowed.

"Thank you Dr Park."

"Yes. Goodnight to you both." He said lastly before exiting.

Lisa sighed and I sat by her.

"Hey look at me." I turned her face with a pout.

"Are you in pain?" She shakes her head.

"No I'm ok Nini." she turned her head again.

I sighed and kissed her forehead.

"Ok sleep well baby. I love you."

Lisa got discharged the following afternoon around 6 pm. Her parents came down to sign the paper work and payment for her medication and hospital bill. Lisa wanted to head straight to the cabin afterwards and I agreed. I bowed to her parents and hugged them before following her towards the exit.

We stopped by the front counter to collect her medicine where she started to act different. Sure she was in pain but her expression looked like she was more disturbed by something else other than the pain she's experiencing.

We took a cab and headed for the cabin. But even on the ride home was quiet. We sat on either end of the cab. She stared out the window blankly and I sighed.

I helped her get off and it took her a bit of huffing and puffing to do so. We headed inside and she immediately went for the shower.

I told her to install one with a tub because as much as I enjoy the swim/shower in the lake with her, the water is always cold and it's not healthy so yea.

Anyways back to us, after we washed up, I held Lisa close to me in bed, aware of the disappointment she was feeling.
